Meet Tina! She was an artist and designer in the early 1900’s. She was most known for her invention of the trendy “cat-eye” glasses. She created a style called “Harlequin” in which she took inspiration from masks in Vince, Italy that she saw people wearing. Sadly her design was rejected at first coming off ass too edgy. Happily, the style did start to take off in the 1930’s and she was awarded in 1939 for her idea and picked up by “Vogue” and “Lifetime” magazines!

Today would have been Tina’s 116th birthday! We thank her for advancing the style and fashion in eyewear and making wearing glasses a little more fun! Happy Birthday Tina!!!!
