Something special is coming…

We’ve been on an incredible journey of growth, learning, and deepening our commitment to supporting families through every chapter of life. Along the way, our work has continued to evolve in ways that reflect the strength of community, the power of connection, and the importance of walking beside one another with compassion and curiosity.

As we’ve listened closely to the families we serve and reflected as a team, one thing has become even clearer: everything works best when it’s connected and unified. That belief has helped shape what comes next.

We’re excited to share that we’ll be making a special announcement very soon, one that honors where we’ve been and points toward the bigger impact we’re called to have. It’s a change that reflects who we are today.

As families have stayed with us longer and our team has expanded its expertise across ages and stages, it became clear that our name should better represent the continuity and depth of care we provide.

And to our families, here’s what matters most: nothing about your care is changing. You’ll continue to see the same clinicians, your appointments and services will remain the same, and our collaborative approach to care isn’t changing. This is a name change only and everything you know and trust about working with us will stay exactly the same.

The transition will roll out gradually over the coming weeks. We’re making this change thoughtfully so it feels steady and clear for families and community partners. Nothing is changing overnight.

Stay tuned…. we can’t wait to share more with you.

One team. One plan. One clear path forward!

This has always been the heart of Mini Minds. A collaborative team that looks beyond isolated challenges and works together to support the whole child and the whole family. One plan built with intention. One shared understanding of what families truly need.

As we prepare to step into our next chapter, this belief remains unchanged. The care. The people. The commitment to connection and collaboration. All of it continues, guided by the same purpose that has always shaped our work.

Thank you for growing with us, trusting us, and allowing us to walk alongside your family. We are excited for what’s ahead and grateful for every step that brought us here!

If mealtimes feel stressful, emotional, or confusing, you are not alone!

For many families, feeding challenges are about more than “picky eating.” They are often connected to sensory processing, regulation, oral motor skills, routines, and a child’s comfort with their body and environment.

Our Speech and Feeding Therapist, Tatum, encourages families to consider feeding therapy if your child:
• Eats a very limited variety of foods
• Avoids entire food groups
• Gags, vomits, or becomes distressed during meals
• Refuses to try new foods
• Makes mealtimes feel overwhelming for the whole family

The good news is that with the right support, progress does not have to feel forced or rushed!

With feeding therapy, families often notice:
• Less stress around meals
• Increased comfort with food
• Greater willingness to explore new foods
• Growing confidence at the table at their own pace

At Mini Minds, feeding therapy looks different because care is truly connected. We offer a multidisciplinary feeding team that cannot be found anywhere else locally. Our team consists of trained Mental Health Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Registered Dietitians who collaborate closely to understand the full picture behind feeding challenges. When appropriate, we round out this team approach with Medication Management to ensure comprehensive, thoughtful support.

Feeding therapy at Mini Minds is about understanding the why beneath the challenge and supporting the whole child, not pressure, power struggles, or quick fixes.

If you are wondering whether feeding therapy might be the right next step, we are here to help you make sense of it.

Families deserve connected expertise, not scattered solutions!

Mental health therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, medication management, and nutrition and wellness do not operate separately here.

They work together as one coordinated team.

Each discipline brings its own expertise, and every insight is shared to understand the full picture of a child and family.

When care is connected, families are no longer left piecing things together on their own. They gain clarity, consistency, and a team that moves in the same direction. This collaborative approach empowers parents, strengthens skills at home, and supports children as they grow into confident, regulated, and resilient humans.

Because when every expert is aligned, families are supported and children thrive!

🏠 Long weekend indoors
❄️ Snow days
💻 eLearning
⏰ And maybe a late start tomorrow…

If screen time crept up in your home lately, you’re not alone. And you’re not doing anything wrong!

Mental Health Therapist Madison is here to remind us that after school breaks, winter storms, or long stretches inside, screens often become a tool for connection, regulation, and survival. That’s okay. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s transitioning back with intention and compassion.

As screens wind down, kids do best when transitions are predictable and feelings are acknowledged. Giving a heads up before screens end, using visual reminders, and validating disappointment can help calm the nervous system and reduce power struggles. When screens go off, having something ready to move toward like movement, sensory play, or connection can make the shift feel safer and smoother.

Big emotions are part of the process. Meltdowns aren’t misbehavior, they’re communication. Staying calm, holding limits consistently, and offering comfort helps kids borrow our regulation while they learn to build their own. And remember, change doesn’t have to happen all at once. Small steps, gradual reductions, and slowly rebuilding off screen routines can make a big difference over time.

Screens turning off can feel like a real loss for kids. We can hold boundaries with empathy and still support emotional growth. You’re not failing. You’re teaching your child how to transition, cope, and regulate. That’s a big, lifelong skill.

You’ve got this. We’re right here with you!

Collaboration isn’t something we believe in, it’s how we work.

At Mini Minds, progress happens when no one is working in isolation. Our clinicians collaborate across disciplines and families are active partners in the process not observers on the sidelines. Together, we connect the dots between behavior, emotions, sensory needs, and family life to create care that actually makes sense.

When everyone is aligned and moving in the same direction, families feel supported, understood, and empowered and that’s where real, lasting growth begins. Because success isn’t built by one voice or one perspective. It’s built together.

One team. One plan. One clear path forward!

Snow day + eLearning?

Here’s another way to build in a brain-body break and enjoy the snow!

Our Occupational Therapist Kasey is sharing why building a snowman is so much more than winter fun—it’s packed with developmental benefits!

☃️ Making snowmen supports:
✨ Regulation & bonding through joyful play
✨ Gross motor strength (rolling, lifting, stacking!)
✨ Bilateral coordination & body awareness
✨ Executive functioning like planning, sequencing & problem-solving
✨ Sensory exploration with snow textures & cold temps
✨ Fine motor skills when adding eyes, buttons & details

For children attempting eLearning at home today, this is an easy way to reset the body and mind, helping them return to lessons more focused, calm, and ready to learn!

❄️ Bonus tip: Add food coloring + water to a spray bottle and “paint” your snowman for extra creativity and sensory fun!

What’s your favorite way to break up eLearning on a snow day?

01/26/2026

❄️ Snowy days = cozy creativity!

Our Occupational Therapist, Ally R, is sharing one of her favorite winter activities… making paper snowflakes!

✂️ Just cut, fold, snip, & repeat.

This simple, snowy-day craft supports:
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Visual motor integration
✨ Flexible thinking
✨ Following directions
✨ Attention & focus
✨ Creative expression

Just like real snowflakes, no two turn out the same!

If your kids are e-learning today, this is a perfect brain-body break to support regulation, focus, and attention throughout a snow day.

🤍 What’s your go-to snowy day tradition?
