We have some exciting news to share…

As many of you know, our Owner, Megan, recently traveled to New Zealand for an entrepreneur conference where she connected with group practice owners from across the country.

Together, they collaborated on strengthening policies, refining systems, and expanding services to support sustainable, meaningful growth and impact within their communities.

What we’re now learning is that may not have been the only reason for the trip!

After experiencing the beauty, culture, and deep sense of connection in New Zealand, Megan has been quietly exploring what it could look like to expand One Mind beyond the therapy room and beyond the United States.

We’re thrilled to share that One Mind will be opening its fourth location in New Zealand!

Because whole-child wellness shouldn’t be limited by location.

Our New Zealand location will continue our mission of bringing connected, holistic care into everyday environments, with a few unique, locally inspired touches:

🌿 Nature-integrated sessions designed around New Zealand’s incredible landscapes, supporting regulation, connection, and sensory development

🐑 Outdoor-based social groups (with a few very fluffy co-facilitators) focused on building confidence, flexibility, and resilience

🌊 Coastal calm programs incorporating movement, breathwork, and mindfulness along the water

🇳🇿 Community classes designed to bring families together and expand access to preventative, research-informed support

Because when children understand themselves, they thrive. And when we build environments that support growth, anywhere in the world can become a place where children feel confident, connected, and capable.

Drop a 🌏 below if you’d like to be added to our waitlist (which, at this point, is nearly as long as the 12-hour flight).

We expect spots to fill faster than a Queenstown gondola at sunset and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

If you wait too long, you might find yourself trekking across the Southern Alps like you’re in Lord of the Rings… beautiful, yes, but a long journey to get where you want to be!

🌱 Bloom Through It was a beautiful success!

This afternoon at our Broad Ripple location, our first One Mind Foundation community class brought learning to life as we prepared plant beds together and explored a powerful idea: your mind is like a garden.

We talked about how what we give attention to grows. When we focus on negative thoughts we grow weeds, but when we nurture positive affirmations we create space for something truly beautiful to bloom within us.

It was an inspiring, hands-on experience full of growth, connection and joy, and we’re just getting started…

✨ Next up: Shine From the Inside, where we’ll continue building confidence, resilience, and strong inner voices!

Happy Birthday, Nicole!

Today we are celebrating our incredible Lead Speech, Language & Feeding Therapist, Nicole.

For nearly 3 years, Nicole has transformed and elevated her departments in ways that have deeply impacted both our team and the families we serve. She has built a truly unique multidisciplinary feeding program, expanded our literacy services with evidence-based practices for struggling readers, and consistently ensures our therapists are learning, growing, and staying at the top of their fields.

Most recently, Nicole has developed a specialized focus in myofunctional therapy, further expanding our impact in the community. Myofunctional challenges in children can include difficulties with tongue posture, mouth breathing, chewing, swallowing, and even speech clarity, all of which can affect development, sleep, and overall health. Nicole’s work in this area is helping us better support children in ways that are both preventative and transformative.

Nicole, your leadership, passion, and commitment to excellence do not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for you and the way you continue to grow something truly special here.

Wishing you the happiest birthday!

Progress isn’t instant. And that’s actually a good thing!

Many parents come to us hoping for a quick fix. What they discover instead is something more powerful: a partner.

At One Mind, we believe real change does not happen in just one hour a week. It happens in the everyday moments. At home, during routines, in the middle of big feelings, and in the quiet wins you start to notice over time.

That is why parent engagement is part of everything we do. Because when parents are supported, children thrive!

We are here to walk alongside you, helping you build the tools, confidence and understanding that create lasting change.

✨ Less overwhelm
✨ More connection
✨ Skills that show up in real life

You do not have to figure it out alone.

We are your partners in this journey!

Happy 3 years to our Occupational Therapist Ally!

From the moment Ally joined our team, she has brought a depth of care, curiosity, and connection that truly reflects what One Mind is all about. She has a way of helping kids and families feel understood while also giving them the tools and insight to move forward with confidence.

Over the past year, Ally has continued to grow in incredible ways, recently traveling to India to complete her 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification. She brings those regulation practices directly into her work, helping children of all ages and their families better understand their bodies, their emotions, and how everything connects.

She is also especially passionate about executive functioning, supporting our middle and high schoolers as they navigate the increasing demands of school, life, and identity.

And as she looks ahead, Ally is expanding her knowledge in nutrition to join our multidisciplinary feeding team, deepening the way we support the connection between food, mood, and regulation.

Ally embodies the kind of thoughtful, connected care we believe in. The kind that looks beyond the surface, understands the whole picture, and helps families feel less alone and more equipped.

Congrats on 3 years, we can’t wait to see what’s next!

Let’s help our kids not just get through hard things… but bloom through them 🌱

What if the behavior you’re seeing isn’t defiance at all?

Mental Health Therapist Madison breaks it down for us…

So often, what looks like talking back, ignoring directions, or big reactions and shutdowns is actually a dysregulated nervous system asking for support.

When children are overwhelmed, their brains shift into survival mode, not learning mode.

This is exactly what Mollie also shared in her recent post on co-regulation: Big emotions aren’t problems to fix, they’re opportunities to connect.

So in the moment, shift from control to connection.

Because when children feel seen, safe, and understood, their nervous system begins to settle and cooperation can follow.

Co-regulation today builds self-regulation tomorrow!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Dr Ellie Smith from Puzzlers Psychoeducational Evaluations (mypuzzlers.com) to speak with our multidisciplinary team!

Dr Smith shared valuable insights on appropriate differentiation to support accurate ADHD diagnosis, helping us deepen our understanding of how to distinguish between overlapping presentations and ensure each individual receives the right support.

Every Wednesday, our multidisciplinary team comes together for therapeutic brainstorming, case consultations, and ongoing professional development, creating space for collaboration, learning, and high-quality care.

If you’re interested in visiting our beautiful Carmel office to meet our team, explore referral partnerships, and present on your area of expertise, we’d love to connect. Please reach out at info@onemindfamily.com. We are now booking for early fall.

A big thank you to Dr Smith for her time, expertise, and passion!

What is Co-Regulation?

Our Mental Health Intern, Mollie, created this helpful guide to share with our community!

Big emotions aren’t problems to fix, they’re opportunities to connect.

Co-regulation is how children learn to manage their feelings by borrowing our calm before they build their own.

Connection first. Correction later.

When we stay steady, we teach safety.
When we stay close, we build trust.
When we lead with empathy, we strengthen regulation skills for life.

Your calm is powerful 🤍
