Me watching someone rub refined crude oil on a fresh tattoo like it’s premium skincare 😭

Petroleum = leftover from crude oil refining.
Same source as gasoline, asphalt, all that.

And we’re putting that on open skin?

Products like A&D, Aquaphor, and Vaseline are all petroleum-based.

It just sits there… coating the skin, trapping heat, sweat, and bacteria underneath.
No nutrients. No real skin support. Just a shiny barrier.

But somehow that became “aftercare.”

Meanwhile, there are products like that actually condition the skin and help it recover the way it’s supposed to.

Some of y’all are just doing things out of habit, not because it makes sense.
