Focus on the pause and stay in that moment. A short break gives your brain time to reset. Plus, a little sweetness makes it easier to keep moving. Sometimes all it takes to recharge a bit is a peaceful moment with something you like.

Eight Maids a-Milking? Weโ€™re milking the benefits of the SQUAT. ๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿ’ชย On the 8th Day of Christmas, weโ€™re busting myths about the most important movement in the human body.

As Physical Therapists, we hear a lot of bad advice about squatting. Here is the truth:

1๏ธโƒฃ Anatomy matters: Your hip sockets are unique. That means your stance might need to be wider or your toes turned out more than the person next to you. That is okay!
2๏ธโƒฃ Knees over toes? Yes! Going down stairs forces your knees past your toes. You need to train that range of motion to do it safely.
3๏ธโƒฃ Function first: You canโ€™t avoid squats. Every time you sit in a chair or get in a car, you are squatting. We train this so you can stay independent for a long time.
