This is Cody, the Social Media Manager at Grey Matters — and right now, he is personally going through T3/T4 brain training.
T3 and T4 are temporal lobe regions involved in emotional regulation, attention control, and how the brain integrates thought with feeling. When activity in these areas is inefficient, it can show up as:
• emotional reactivity
• racing or looping thoughts
• difficulty shifting focus
• feeling overwhelmed or mentally “on edge”
For many people with ADHD, this isn’t about a lack of effort — it’s about the brain working harder than it needs to.
T3/T4 training helps tighten up dysregulated activity, supporting smoother communication between emotional and cognitive systems. The goal isn’t to suppress energy or personality — it’s to help the brain respond with better timing and proportion.
He has chosen to go through this training because he believes in understanding the process from the inside out. It’s also a reminder that brain training is never one-size-fits-all.
At Grey Matters, T3/T4 is just one of many personalized approaches we use, depending on how each brain is functioning — whether the goal is improved focus, emotional regulation, resilience, or clarity.
Modern brain training isn’t about forcing change.
It’s about helping the brain coordinate better.
