This Giving Tuesday, let’s come together to make a difference in the lives of children!

The Children’s TherAplay Foundation is dedicated to providing individualized skill development for children with disabilities and/or unique needs through physical, occupational, and speech therapies using a horse as a treatment tool in a safe and caring environment. Our sweet and smallest pony is retiring! 🥹

Pony Boy has been a wonderful therapy horse for us! His small size and wide back made it easy for little kiddos to try out different positions and get the benefit of high movement. We are so excited for him to retire to a loving family and participate in 4H!

⭐Volunteer Spotlight⭐

Meet Glenn:
Glenn began volunteering at TherAplay over a year ago, but before then worked as a Horse Handler here at TherAplay! Having rode horses as a youth, she came for the horses and now loves being a part of TherAplay’s mission. She is a primary sidewalker, groomer, and TAAG volunteer. We appreciate Glenn’s reliability, commitment and flexibility both in the arena and back in the barn.

Glenn is currently retired from a career in managing energy effeciency and renewable energy programs. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, reading, lunching with friends, and volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club.

⭐"Sidewalking is very rewarding. Sometimes the kiddos have me laughing, other times they give me a peek into the world of special needs and how therapy plays a role. The therapists and families are amazing. I also love being in and around the barn and seeing how the barn team takes such good care of the horses.“ -Glenn⭐

Help support the TherAplay RIDE committee in a Food Drive to support our local food banks! According to Feeding America, “in Indiana, 1,033,890 people are facing hunger – and of them 292,720 are children.” The need for food is especially high right now. Anything and everything you can give is appreciated!

Children's TherAplay is incredibly greatful to be a recipient of United Way of Central Indiana's Basic Needs grant! Funds from this grant will allow us to meet some crucial needs in our community including caregiver mental health support and expanding our programming to offer after-school group therapy sessions. These funds will also help keep our services accessible and ensure that low-income families raising a child with a disability can get the therapies their child needs to thrive!
