CBD is the best anti-inflammatory on the globe!

The earliest signs of Alzheimer’s disease may begin long before memory problems appear. For decades scientists believed the condition started mainly inside the brain, but new research is raising questions about whether the process could begin elsewhere in the body.

Some researchers now suggest that chronic inflammation in organs such as the skin lungs or gut may play a role in triggering the biological changes linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Inflammation is the body’s natural defense response, but when it becomes long term it can affect multiple systems including the nervous system.

The gut brain connection has become a growing area of medical research. Scientists have found that immune signals and inflammatory molecules can travel through the bloodstream and influence the brain. Similar processes may occur with inflammation originating in the lungs or skin.

This idea could help explain why factors such as infections autoimmune conditions and long term inflammatory diseases are sometimes linked with a higher risk of cognitive decline later in life.

Researchers stress that the theory is still being studied and more evidence is needed to understand exactly how these processes may contribute to Alzheimer’s development.

Great explanation of our Endo Cannabis system being the regulatory framework for sleep mood appetite for hormones

🌿 Spring is often called a season of “reset.”
Detox. Cleanse. Start over.

But the body doesn’t really work that way.

It adjusts gradually.

As the seasons change, subtle shifts begin to happen:
• Light exposure changes
• Sleep cycles adjust
• Energy patterns evolve
• Digestion and metabolism shift
• Inflammation patterns adapt

None of this is dramatic.
It’s regulation.

One of the key systems helping coordinate these changes is the endocannabinoid system (ECS) — a biological network that helps regulate mood, sleep, appetite, stress response, metabolism, immune balance, and gut health.

Many people only hear about the ECS in connection with the Cannabis plant 🌿.
But the truth is, your body produces its own endocannabinoids every single day.

What’s often overlooked is how nutrition and lifestyle influence this system.

Endocannabinoids are made from fats within our cell membranes, which means the quality of the fats we eat matters.

Research shows several everyday factors may support healthy ECS balance:

🥑 Balanced dietary fats (including omega-3s)
🌱 Diverse plant foods that support the microbiome
😴 Consistent, restorative sleep
🚶♀️ Regular movement and physical activity
🧠 Healthy stress management

These foundations create the conditions where the body can maintain homeostasis — its natural state of balance.

Spring may not be about extreme “resets.”
It may simply be an invitation to check in with the foundations that support wellbeing.

Depression is usually explained as a chemical imbalance in the brain.

But neuroscience is increasingly pointing to another possibility:

an energy problem.

Your brain is the most energy-demanding organ in the body.
It uses about 20% of your daily energy, even though it represents only a small fraction of body weight.

When brain cells struggle to produce enough energy, several things can happen:

• motivation drops
• focus declines
• emotional regulation becomes harder

Which are also common symptoms of depression.

Researchers recently explored whether creatine, a compound known for improving cellular energy metabolism, might influence this process.

In an 8-week clinical trial, women with major depressive disorder took 5 grams of creatine daily.

The results were striking.

Depression scores dropped dramatically, with a maximum reduction of about 62–63%, and improvements appeared as early as week two.

Brain imaging also showed increased phosphocreatine levels in the frontal lobe, a key region involved in:

• motivation
• attention
• decision-making
• emotional regulation

Phosphocreatine helps cells rapidly regenerate ATP, the molecule that powers brain activity.

These findings support a growing idea in neuroscience:

Mental health may not only be about neurotransmitters like serotonin.

Brain energy metabolism may play a crucial role as well.

This doesn’t mean creatine is a treatment for depression, but it highlights how metabolism and brain function are deeply connected.

Understanding that connection may open new directions for research in mental health.

New clinical research shows creatine can slash depression symptoms by 63%, delivering relief much faster than traditional antidepressants.

Emerging research indicates that creatine supplementation may offer a groundbreaking approach to mental health, particularly for women struggling with depression. Clinical studies have documented dramatic results, with some participants experiencing up to a 63% reduction in depression scores. Unlike traditional antidepressants that often take weeks or months to yield therapeutic results, creatine-enhanced improvements have been observed in as little as one to two weeks. This rapid onset provides a critical advantage for individuals seeking immediate relief from debilitating mood disorders and emotional fatigue.

The secret to creatine's efficacy lies in its ability to optimize brain energy metabolism by increasing the availability of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy currency of cells. By supporting the high-energy demands of neurological function, creatine helps stabilize mood, enhance cognitive clarity, and bolster overall emotional resilience. As science continues to uncover the deep connection between metabolic health and mental well-being, creatine is successfully transitioning from a fitness supplement to a vital tool for neurological recovery and psychiatric support.

One area of scientific interest involves vitamin K2. Laboratory studies have reported that high concentrations of vitamin K2 in controlled cell experiments can influence prostate cancer cells. In some research settings, doses around 50 to 100 micromolar were observed to trigger a process called apoptosis. This is the natural self destruction program that damaged or abnormal cells use to eliminate themselves.

The studies suggest that vitamin K2 may also interfere with cellular signals that cancer cells rely on for survival and growth. By weakening those signals, cancer cells may become less able to multiply. These findings come primarily from laboratory research using cancer cell cultures rather than large scale clinical trials in patients.

Because of this, medical experts emphasize that vitamin K2 should not be viewed as a standalone treatment for prostate cancer. More human studies are required to confirm how these effects translate into real patient care.

Still, discoveries like this help scientists understand cancer biology better and could guide future therapies that support safer and more targeted cancer treatment for millions of people.

Our Story

Our founder, Valentia Valentine is a highly successful and accomplished professional. A native of California, Valentia began her career in the commercial real estate industry where she served businesses throughout the Central Valley for over 25 years. In 1989, after suffering from symptoms that her doctor first thought to be a brain tumor, Valentia received the diagnoses that would forever change her life. Multiple Sclerosis, a unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system.

This was a devastating diagnosis for a older mother and career professional. But Valentia refused to be a victim of the disabling disease and instead, began to learn as much as she could about MS and treatment protocols. From traditional Western medicine to Chinese Herbal medicines, Eastern philosophies as well as mind and body practices, Valentia became a self-taught expert and holistic health advocate. Her efforts focused on ways to minimize MS symptoms, slow the progression of the disease and reduce the possibility of serious relapses.

Motherhood was challenging, and the disease was progressing when her daughter was only 2 years old she laid next to her while riding on a gurney to receive SoluMedrol infusions. Later by the time her newborn son was born her vertigo was so severe she had to have someone pick him up to be able to nurse him. While visiting her physician at Stanford University, she had a rather shocking suggestion: she referred her to a facility in Santa Cruz that specialized in Medicinal Cannabis and suggested she try cannabis. Valentia was shocked, the stigma of using a drug that was typically associated as recreational, was mortifying to her. She was also concerned about her ability to function as a mom to her children. But after doing some research, she began to read case studies of other MS patients and their success in mitigating some of the more serious side effects of her debilitating disease.

Valentia’s experience with medical cannabis was nothing short of remarkable. While she struggled with the stigma and shame of a drug that was associated with the “This is your brain on drugs” campaign, her results were significant: less pain, more manageable inflammation, improved sleep and most of all improved mobility.
