❓Trivia day- What is this odd shaped exercise relic passed down to me from my grandparents (who were both gym teachers)?

Back story: I was reminded yesterday by a client that in the 80s, males and females had different exercise spaces. The males had their weight room 🏋🏽‍♀️ and the females had a designated area with up to 3 pound dumbbells and space to do aerobic classes. 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️ The women were not allowed to use the men’s area. However, when the men were allowed join to the aerobics classes, the women said that isn’t fair. Fast forward to today and you’ll see men and women doing classes together and sharing equipment. Functional fitness enjoyed by all! ✨

Answer: This is a one pound wooden dumbbell.
