Karen Beth Pickering, 73, of Harrisburg, IL passed away at 6:50 am on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Carrier Mills Nursing Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Graveside services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Sunset Garden Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. There will be no visitation; family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Reverend Donnie Hughes will officiate. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was born on April 6, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Harlan and Ruth (Parkinson) Henderson.

She worked many years as a secretary and also as a waitress. She loved animals and especially her cat. Karen also always enjoyed a good shopping trip.

Karen was survived by her Daughter: Genny (Eric) McClusky of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Brothers: Jim Henderson of Ashville, NC and Ben Henderson of Harrisburg, IL; Nephews: Kurt Henderson and Jimmy Henderson both of North Carolina; and several aunts and uncles.

John B. Johnson, 67, of Raleigh, IL passed away at 6:34 am on Thursday March 5, 2026 at Saline Care Nursing Center in Harrisburg, IL. His wishes were to be cremated. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

John was born on July 8, 1958 in Chicago, IL to the late Mark and Anna (Brannock) Johnson.

He graduated from Carrier Mills High School, then worked as a manager at McDonalds for many years.

John is survived by his 2 Brothers: Matthew (Helen) Johnson and David Johnson; 3 Nieces: Heather Johnson, Felecia (Tyler) Absher, and Nicki (Ricky) Wright; Nephew: Chris Owens, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Mark and Anna Johnson; Son: John Paul Johnson; Brother: Freeman Johnson, and 3 Sisters: Diana Owens, Lesa Grover and Brenda Phillips.

Dee A. Adams, 84, of Harrisburg, IL passed away at 11:04 am on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at her place of residence. Her wishes were to be cremated. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dee was born on December 1, 1941 in Marion, IL to the late William and Maggie Parks.

She married Lloyd Adams whom preceded her in death.

Dee graduated with her bachelors degree, then went on to have a career in banking for many years. After retirement she was a part-time secretary at Harrisburg First United Methodist Church where she was also a member. She was always very social and active in her community and church, and especially enjoyed going to the movies with her friends.

She is survived by her Daughters: Kelli (Harley) Fergus of Equality, IL and Robyn (David) Johnson of Lexington, KY; Grandchildren: Ross Simmons of Marion, IL, Bayley (Blake) Martin of Georgetown, KY and Colton (Tegan) Johnson of Newport, RI; 6 Great-grandchildren, and Sister: Edith Roger of Albany, GA.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband; Daughter: Lynn Turley; 3 Sisters and 2 Brothers.

Steven Lee Gilbert, 69, of Carrier Mills, IL passed away at 10:58 pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Mercy Hospital of Paducah, KY. His wishes were to be cremated. Visitation will be held at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL on Saturday March 7, 2026 from 10 am to 11:30 am. Graveside services will follow the visitation and begin at 12 noon at Sunset Garden Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL with Reverend Michael Vaughn officiating. Military rites will performed by Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legion Posts, and the U.S. Airforce Honor Guard team.

Steve was born on September 11, 1956 in Chelan, WA to the late Bill and Ida (McMullen) Gilbert.

He married the former Cathy Vaughn on June 20, 1974.

Steve proudly served his country in the United State Airforce, and worked on jet engines during his time enlisted. After his service he became a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pool, and bbq’ing in his spare time.

Steve is survived by his Wife: Cathy Gilbert of Carrier Mills, IL; Children: Steven (Rachel) Gilbert of Metropolis, IL, Daydra (Richard) Waide of Harrisburg, IL and Casey (Seth) Fritts of Carrier Mills, IL; Brothers: Michael (Jeannie) Gilbert of Billingham, WA and David Gilbert of Seabeck, WA; Grandchildren: Justin (Monica) Waide, Ashley (Bryer) Endrizzi, and Melony (Logan) Tharp; Great-grandchildren: Elena, Killian, Decker, Graham, Louie and Eden; Special cousin: Angie Gilbert of Florida, and Special niece: Angie Reaves of Paducah, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Ida Gilbert.

Clark Ray Horton, 58, of Carrier Mills, IL passed away at his place of residence on Monday February 23, 2026 at 7:32 pm. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 28 at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held at 10 am until service time with Reverend Donnie Hughes officiating. Burial will follow services at Reids Chapel Cemetery in Stonefort, IL.

Clark was born on April 9, 1967 in Harrisburg, IL to Cletis Horton and the former Della Headrick.

He married the former Amber Payne on June 13, 2015; she survives.

Clark was a coal miner at Willow Lake Mines for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and his horses were his pride and joy. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his Wife: Amber Horton of Carrier Mills, IL; Parents: Cletis and Della Horton of Harrisburg, IL; Children: Josh (Dava) Horton of Golconda, IL, Cody (Courtney Wilson) of Harrisburg, IL and Kristina (Travis) Dunn of Carrier Mills, IL; Grandchildren: Connor Horton, Avery Dunn, Rylan Dunn, Kylin Horton, Kynnle Horton and Cody Horton; Sisters: Janice Horton and Tammy Curry both of Harrisburg, IL; Special niece: Chloe Horton of Harrisburg, IL, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judith Ann Blankenship, 76, of Harrisburg, IL died Saturday February 21, 2026 at 11:30 PM at Sara Bush Lincoln Health Center in Matoon, IL. Funeral services will be held Friday February 27, 2026 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday after 10 AM until service time. Burial will be in Blockhouse Cemetery near Rudement, IL. Reverend Richard Malone will officiate.

Judy was born on March 7, 1949 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Lee and Ester (Morris) Bethel.

She was a member of the New Castle Baptist Church near Harrisburg, IL. Judy loved cooking, she also enjoyed gardening, cleaning and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by 6 children: Callie Cantrell of Shawneetown, IL; Tina (Tim) Hermanson of Ocala, FL; Jerry (Michelle Marshall) Ferrell of Windsor, IL; Quinton (Ryan) Ferrell of Henderson, KY; Jaci Albin and Nathan Albin; Siblings: Margaret Williams, Christine Bowers, Fern McIntosh, Bill Bethel and Marla Wilson all of Harrisburg, IL; Frank Bethel of Eldorado, IL; Mark Bethel of Florida; Geraldine Ray of Tuscola, IL; Janice Bierman of Ellsbury, MO; Pat Ferrell and Cindy Blackman both of Scott City, MO; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
