A moment to pause and reflect on the beautiful complexity of the work we do here at .therapies
Orofacial myology isn’t always linear. Many of our patients present with layers — chronic, overlapping concerns that require nuance, care, and collaboration. That’s why we’re big believers in building bridges across disciplines, not walls.
From ENTs, orthodontists, and RDs to CST specialists, IBCLCs, PCPs, OTs, PTs, and beyond — we work hand-in-hand with a wide network of providers to give every patient the tailored, interdisciplinary support they deserve.
As SLPs, we are one of the few professionals uniquely trained to diagnose, assess, and treat orofacial myofunctional disorders. Our clinician specializes in feeding and swallowing disorders, orofacial myology, and has completed advanced training in myofunctional therapy, tethered oral tissues, oral placement therapy, breathing techniques, TMJ and muscular connections, and craniofacial development. This allows us to approach concerns like mouth breathing, persistent health concerns like sinus infections, airway restriction, dental/ortho regression, gut health issues, and TMJ pain from a truly integrative lens — connecting the dots others may miss.
Because therapy isn’t meant to be your whole life — it’s meant to improve your life.
At UpNorth, our goal is simple: help you master the tools you need so you can get back to living fully, boldly, and freely ⊹₊⟡⋆
Today, we honor the work SLPs do in all corners of the field — clinical, collaborative, and creative. We’re proud to be part of that story.
