Although there is no Birth Place Experience class in December, we do offer class at both the Carroll and Denison locations in January!

This class is for all expecting parents, no matter if it is your first pregnancy or your fifth: Come spend the evening with us, your labor and delivery nurses, be introduced to some of our community resource members, and talk all things 👇🏼💥

“I have had 4 total children at The Birth Place, St. Anthony's in the last 7 years. ♥️ Each and every time holds their own story, all positive experiences.

Our most current delivery was in October with our first boy. We went in at exactly 38 weeks for our scheduled c-section due to chronic hypertension. We arrived at The Birth Place to such kind and welcoming arms from each and every nurse. Within 30 minutes of being there I had an unexpected, sudden drop of blood pressure. There were a sworm of nurses and many caring, loving members of the health care team who acted quickly and patiently to ensure the safety for not only me but our baby boy as well. They were all so calm, prompt, and helpful all at the same time. Baby Kohyn was then delivered by c-section soon after.

From the time we arrived to the second we walked out of The Birth Place, there was not ONE time I questioned or thought to myself that I would rather be elsewhere. 10000% would recommend The Birth Place. From the time you get there to the second you leave- you are loved, taken care of, and HEARD! All of the nurses, including the lactation team, are the best.”

Bringing babies into the world is the most amazing experience, but helping and watching couples navigate their new roles as parents is heart warming! We are so happy to be apart of your story!

After 27 years of delivering babies - this week, Dr. McLaws celebrated caring for his last obstetrical patient with one last beautiful delivery. ♥️

Thank you Dr. McLaws for your years delivering at The Birth Place, providing great care to your patients, and all the ice cream deliveries for The Birth Place staff. 🍦🤪 Dr. McLaws will continue his family practice at Manning Regional Healthcare Center. We have enjoyed your partnership with St. Anthony & hope you enjoy your retirement from delivering babies! 👶
