New Hope

New Hope is a Carroll, Iowa, based non-profit dedicated to enriching the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

New Hope offers both residential and vocational services to adults with disabilities in a variety of services. New Hope is a 501(c)(3) organization that offers both residential and vocational services to adults with disabilities in a variety of settings. New Hope brings the comfort and contentment of home to roughly 200 persons with disabilities. The combination of strong leadership, dedicated staff members, caring volunteers and generous donors are the hallmark of the quality services available at New Hope. Here, individuals are treated with respect and dignity, given the chance to fulfill their dreams, discover new opportunity and enjoy an atmosphere with caring support. Individuals served include a variety of adults whose independent living, employment, personal, social or functional development is challenged by an intellectual disability, developmental disability and/or brain injury. The variety of programs at New Hope enables clients to live with purpose and self-fulfillment, and to acquire and maintain the skills necessary for personal growth. Each person served has an individualized program based on his/her needs. New Hope does just what the name promises — offers "new hope" and enhances the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Our Day Hab crew celebrated New Year’s Eve with a delicious catered feast from Jalisco’s, and it was a total hit! 🌮🌯 Everyone got to build their own tacos and burritos with all the fixings, and the smiles say it all.

Great food, great company, and an even better way to kick off a brand new year together. 💛 Here’s to more moments like these in 2026!

Just before Christmas, our friends from the Evergreen home on campus bundled up, hopped on the bus, and headed out for a magical evening of cruising around town to see the Christmas light displays!
There were glowing trees, twinkling houses, lots of laughter, and that kind of holiday joy you can’t help but smile about. 💛 Moments like this are what the season is all about: connection, celebration, and making memories together.

On Boxing Day, our amazing Volunteer and Legacy Society member, Linda Harrington, spent her day doing what she does best — spreading joy.
Linda delivered beautiful gift baskets to our community homes, bringing smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of heart to the people we support.
Moments like these remind us what New Hope is all about: Heart of the Mission. Good Vibes Only. Make It Happen.

❤ Because of our incredible community, including American Home Shield employees, New Hope staff, and family members, every person we serve on our campus had a Christmas gift to open on Christmas Day. 🎄
⏳Hours spent gathering wish lists.
💵Days spent talking to donors.
📅Months spent collecting gifts.
🎁Smiles while opening gifts on Christmas: Priceless.

😊 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙡-𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙢𝙖𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙖𝙘𝙚🏁
New Hope was proud to host the first Amazing Race for local individuals, and what made it truly special was coming together with others across our community. Persons supported from 3 local Day Habs: New Hope, Homecare Options, and Family Resource Center joined side-by-side for a day built on teamwork and shared experiences.
Teams followed clues to 8 different stops around town, meeting new people, exploring familiar places in new ways, and feeling the excitement of being part of something bigger. At each of the three Day Hab locations, teams completed fun challenges that encouraged laughter.
Experiences like this matter. They create opportunities for friendships and build independence, and that belonging doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens together. The race was split between morning and afternoon, and the smiles lasted all day!
This is what it looks like to open doors, build community, and truly Enrich Lives; one clue, one challenge, and one shared moment at a time 💛🏆

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been loading up the bus on campus and taking evening rides to see the Christmas lights around Carroll and out at Swan Lake. 🎄🌟 These outings have been such a highlight for the individuals we support; the smiles say it all. 💚 A huge thank-you to the staff who make these moments possible and to our community for creating such a beautiful holiday season to enjoy. Christmas magic is everywhere…and we love being part of it. ✨❤️🎅🏻
