Today, the family of Glenn Behrens stopped in with two very large boxes of toy donations, as well as a cash donation so St. Anthony can purchase more toys for our youngest patients! The toys included stuffed animals to comfort little ones when they need it most, coloring items, and games to keep older kids busy during long days here. We were honored to receive this generous family donation from the family in memory of Glenn Behrens. Glenn's family chose to give back in his name by donating books, toys, stuffed animals, and monetary support for St. Anthony's inpatient pediatric patients. Their thoughtfulness will bring comfort and smiles to our youngest patients and serves as a meaningful tribute to Glenn’s legacy. 💙

Always Look to the Cross...Always St. Anthony

St. Anthony Regional Hospital is a 99-bed facility with a connected 79-bed nursing home. St. Anthony Regional Hospital & Nursing Home is proud of its rich history, which dates back to 1905 when Reverend Joseph Kuemper founded the hospital, with the help of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, from La Crosse, Wisconsin. Today, St. Anthony Regional Hospital, along with its medical staff, serves communities in West Central Iowa.

Patients at St. Anthony Regional Hospital have access to physicians in many specialties, state-of-the-art equipment, and up-to-date treatment procedures. Cost-effective care is provided in an atmosphere which reflects the institution’s Franciscan heritage and the values of the healing ministry of Christ, quality, patient/customer satisfaction, integrity, and high-performance standards. Emphasis is placed on patient services, rehabilitation, education, and wellness, recognizing an individual’s physical, spiritual, and psychosocial needs.

The hospital is a member of the American Hospital Association and the Iowa Hospitals Association and has been designated as one of sixteen regional hospitals in Iowa by the Iowa State Department of Health.
