‼️Flu activity is high right now across Iowa‼️
Widespread flu illness is being reported throughout the state. The good news? There are simple steps you can take to protect yourself and others:

✅Get your flu shot, it’s not too late!
✅Wash hands often
✅ Stay home when you’re sick
✅ Cover coughs and sneezes

If you have flu-like symptoms, talk with a healthcare provider—especially if you’re at higher risk for complications.

Vaccines are one of our most powerful tools to prevent life-threatening diseases. That's why most childhood vaccines are recommended during your baby's first 12 to 18 months of life.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has reported high respiratory illness activity in lowa. Since our community is seeing an increase, The Birth Place at St. Anthony has established visitor restrictions as of 12/31/2025. During this time, it is strongly encouraged that visitors should be 18 years and older, however, compassionate exceptions may occur such as a sibling bonding in The Birth Place. All visitors will complete a verbal screening upon entering the unit. Anyone exhibiting signs of illness (cough, congestion, fever, body aches, sore throat, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea) are restricted from entering The Birth Place. This is to ensure the health and safety of our patients, their families, staff and our community.
