While some of our heroes couldn’t attend, we honor each one of you with gratitude and respect. ❤️

Our celebration began with a special Veterans Breakfast prepared by Chef LeRoy, followed by a heartfelt message from our guest speaker, “Tank Gunner” (Andrew J. Hudson) — a retired combat cavalry trooper who began writing and publishing at age 76. His words reminded us of the strength, resilience, and enduring contributions of our veterans.

Afterward, several of our veterans shared personal stories from their years of service, giving us a meaningful glimpse into the experiences that shaped their lives.

We closed our ceremony with a touching prayer from Tim Hines, bringing unity, reflection, and gratitude to the moment.

“The Table Set for One” — A Symbol of Remembrance

A deeply meaningful display stood at our entrance, honoring prisoners of war and those missing in action:

🍽️ Small table – the frailty of one prisoner alone
🤍 White cloth – purity of their service
🌹 Single red rose – families awaiting their return
🎗️ Yellow ribbon – hope and determination to account for the missing
🕯️ Lit candle – their unconquerable spirit
🍋 Lemon slice – their bitter fate
🧂 Salt – tears shed by waiting families
🍷 Inverted glass – they cannot toast with us
💺 Empty chair – they are not here

To all who have served — and all who continue to serve — we honor you, we thank you, and we will never forget you. 🇺🇸❤️
