We responded to a 911 call in Kane and quickly determined the patient was in need much higher care. We were able to team up with Survival Flight 5 for a flight from JCH helipad to a St. Louis area specialty hospital.

We’re thrilled to welcome Jazzcelyn Loleng Schertz, DNP, FNP-BC to Boyd!

Jazzcelyn will be seeing patients at our Walk-In Clinic and will begin accepting primary care patients after orientation. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in primary care, urgent care, telehealth, and long-term care, serving patients of all ages.

Her clinical interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, cardiovascular health, women’s health, behavioral health support, weight management, and dermatologic care.

We’re excited to have her on board!

Please join us in congratulating Julie Crafton, our Employee of the Quarter!

Julie was nominated for her compassion and dedication to patient care. During a recent pediatric emergency, she went above and beyond to ensure a patient felt safe and supported.

Julie sat on the floor beside him to gain his trust and remained at his side for hours to keep him calm. She gently rubbed his back until he was able to fall asleep. After moving him to his bed, Julie once again sat on the floor next to him, continuing to comfort him so he could rest peacefully.
