Dodds Funeral Home is a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Today the staff of both funeral homes are proud to serve their respective communities with pride and dignity. The funeral homes have large selection rooms to allow families to easily choose merchandise such as caskets and burial vaults. We are saddened to share the passing of Larry Lee Calderhead, 78, of Carroll County, who passed away peacefully at his home on October 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Calling hours will be held Friday, November 14, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton.

A memorial service will follow on Saturday, November 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the Carrollton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton, with burial to follow in Perrysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.

David was a man of strong Christian faith and a proud U.S. Army veteran who faithfully served two tours in Vietnam with the 9th Infantry Division. He will be remembered for his dedication, strength, and love for his family and country.

We are saddened to share that Peggy Jo Shepherd passed away on September 19, 2025 at the home of her son, Vernon.

Peggy lived a full and beautiful life—devoted wife to the late Ray A. Shepherd for 65 years, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her creativity, her love of flowers and ceramics, her famous butterscotch pies, and the joy she brought to her family and community.

A Christian memorial service is being planned, with interment to follow at Harlem Springs Cemetery. In her memory, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
