Happy Monday morning from sunny Florida! On day 4/6 of our conference.
Just a lovely reminder that you are not your thoughts, your mistakes or your feelings.
Think of how you would treat someone that was struggling with the same things that you are, would you be judgmental? Harsh? Dismissive? Degrading? Abusive? If someone shared a mistake they made and how they felt about it, how would you react to them?
What if it was a child?
When you are feeling shame and guilt, you are a child stuck in those feelings. You need love, care, compassion and to learn not to be scolded, shamed, blamed etc.
The stories we tell ourselves about ourselves matter. Time to tell a kinder story. Be the hero who overcomes challenges not the perfectionist who think they shouldn’t have problems.
