🌿✨ Yoga for Chronic Pain — Gentle Movement, Real Support ✨🌿

Living with chronic pain can feel exhausting, isolating, and overwhelming. Yoga offers a gentle, empowering way to reconnect with your body — not through pushing, but through listening.

When practiced mindfully, yoga helps shift your relationship with pain by supporting both the body and the nervous system.

🌱 How yoga can support chronic pain:
• Calms the nervous system and reduces stress responses
• Releases tension held in muscles and connective tissue
• Improves circulation and joint mobility
• Builds strength without strain
• Increases body awareness and self-trust
• Encourages slower, easier breathing
• Supports emotional wellbeing alongside physical healing

At the Yoga Farm, our approach is slow, accessible, and trauma-informed — honoring what your body can do today, not what it “should” do.

Yoga isn’t about fixing pain overnight. It’s about creating moments of ease, steadiness, and safety in your body, one breath at a time.

If you live with chronic pain, you are welcome here exactly as you are 🤍

🦌✨ Deer Pose — Soft Strength & Gentle Opening ✨🦌

Deer Pose is a beautiful, grounding posture that blends ease with awareness, offering both stability and spaciousness in the hips and heart.

This quiet, reflective pose invites you to slow down, listen inward, and move with intention rather than effort.

🌿 Benefits of Deer Pose:
• Gently opens the hips and outer thighs
• Stretches the psoas and hip flexors
• Releases tension in the lower back
• Calms the nervous system
• Encourages mindful, steady breathing
• Supports emotional release and grounding

Deer Pose is especially supportive for anyone who sits a lot, feels tight in the hips, or is moving through emotional processing. It reminds us that strength can be soft, steady, and compassionate.

Try settling into Deer Pose for a few slow breaths, and notice how your body responds when you give yourself permission to be still.

✨ How to practice:
From a seated position, bend one leg in front like Half Lotus and sweep the other leg behind you. Stay upright, breathe, and soften into the shape.

Move gently. No force — just presence.

Triangle Pose invites length, openness, and balance—teaching us how to stay grounded while expanding in all directions.

🌿 Benefits of Triangle Pose:
• Stretches the legs, hips, hamstrings, and side body
• Strengthens the legs and core
• Improves balance and posture
• Opens the chest and shoulders
• Supports digestion and spinal mobility

🧘‍♀️ Tips for Your Practice:
• Keep both legs straight but not locked
• Lengthen the spine before hinging at the hip
• Rest the bottom hand on the shin, ankle, block, or chair
• Stack the shoulders and open the chest
• Soften the neck—gaze up, forward, or down
• Breathe into the stretch without forcing

✨ Ground through your feet. Create space through your heart. ✨

A Healthy Body Works

A few years ago my husband and I decided that we had abused our bodies long enough. It was time to start giving back to our bodies so that when we are in our 80’s we can still hike, travel, and enjoy life with all our friends and family. So as we travel through our journey, we couldn’t help but feeling the need to share how amazing we are feeling. We began our journey with me becoming a Yoga Instructor and Matthew becoming a Massage Therapist. Through our progress and additional training, we felt the need to give back some of our knowledge to help others. Here is where the idea of the Yoga Farm was brought to life. After finding the perfect, yet neglected, property for the Yoga Farm, our dream of helping others is becoming a reality. Join us on our new adventure as we bring the Yoga Farm back to life while sharing our love, skills and knowledge with you all!
