Our Wednesday meeting was a shortened one so that we could enjoy a Christmas party full of fun and games.
We nearly had a full attendance, but missed Dawn due to illness.
Cindy was our Best Loser and a tie for Runner Up with Nancy and Kathy!
Congratulations, Ladies!
Wise food/activity: Be aware of intake…portion control, salads and water.
Our therapy was a good time and shared blessings as we enjoyed our little gathering.
Before closing, our positive thought was shared by Barb:
I’ve learned that Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!
Our chapter will not meet on December 24th, but will see everyone on New Year’s Eve!

Our Wednesday meeting was a very productive one!
Even though the weather was challenging outside, we were winning the battle inside.
The Linda’s were the heroes this week with Linda S as Best Lost and Linda E as Runner up! Congratulations, ladies.
Wise activity: Mindful eating for overall success.
Our program was delivered by Sue A with an article from our TOPS NEWS magazine titled: Breaking Old Habits and our positive thought was shared by Laurie: It’s not too late to change old habits.
Something we all must keep in mind.

On Friday, Dec 12th we enjoyed our Christmas luncheon with great fellowship and delicious food.

Next week we will celebrate at out Christmas party.

Two weeks of good news! We’re crushing it during holiday time at the Carthage chapter.

November 26th:
Linda E was Best Loser with Pat coming in as runner up. Good job ladies!
Wise activity/food: Stay busy, exercise and healthy choices.
Sherri educated us on a test of Healthy Heart Choices…a few surprising insights on what is the best choices.
Positive thought by Cindy: If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way…Martin Luther King, Jr.

December 3: Cindy was our Best Loser with Dawn as Runner Up! Thanksgiving was a challenge but we beat it!
Wise food/activity: Vegetables/stay busy, portion control.
Faye offered her program sharing a success story of a woman overcoming many challenges by being strong minded and making healthy choices.
Yvonne shared positive thought:
Building a positive attitude begins with building a positive thought in yourself.

The holiday season is quickly approaching. With it, brings temptations to many who are challenged daily with an abundance of food choices not normally available.
We work weekly on discussing these issues and are making ourselves aware of them and how to be able to enjoy the gatherings and keep sensible eating in mind at the same time.
With that said, our Best Loser of the week was Sue A. and Cindy as Runner Up. Wise food/Activity: Portion Control…that’s what it’s all about!
Penny H. delivered her program by discussing these issues: Thanksgiving dinner choices, what the favorites are and totaling calories. (Literally, food for thought). So helpful for awareness.
Cindy offered the Pisitive Thought:
If you want to lead a happy life, tie it to a goal…not people or things.

Wednesday was a good day for our TOPS group!
Facing the daily challenges of eating the proper foods to live a healthier life is a lifetime commitment. So often we are easily distracted, either by activities or emotional situations, it’s easy to slip back into bad habits or convenient eating habits.
Discussing all of these issues makes it easier to face the challenges. Our group are great supporters for each other.
With that said, we had ties in both of our loser categories!
Best Losers were Sue C. And Linda E.
Runners up were Kathy and Dawn
Congratulations, ladies!
Our program was delivered by Nancy who read a story from a TOPS NEWS magazine: Embracing Change
Pat offered her positive thought: Friendship is like a good pair of shoes, they wear well and last a long time!

Wise activity/food: No Sweets and Portion Control…it works!
Our program was referenced from our TOPS News magazine by Wayne Frederick: Getting Personal- One man’s descriptive writing of his weight loss journey. A similar story we can all identify with.
A group discussion was had on what was one thing we changed last week or added to our lifestyle that was a positive toward our weight loss journey. We heard a variety of activities that were effective and will be continued.
Reminder: We would love to welcome new members! We meet each week at the Brady Acres Community Room. Weigh in 9:00-9:30, Meeting 9:30-10:30
