Wednesday was a good day for our TOPS group!
Facing the daily challenges of eating the proper foods to live a healthier life is a lifetime commitment. So often we are easily distracted, either by activities or emotional situations, it’s easy to slip back into bad habits or convenient eating habits.
Discussing all of these issues makes it easier to face the challenges. Our group are great supporters for each other.
With that said, we had ties in both of our loser categories!
Best Losers were Sue C. And Linda E.
Runners up were Kathy and Dawn
Congratulations, ladies!
Our program was delivered by Nancy who read a story from a TOPS NEWS magazine: Embracing Change
Pat offered her positive thought: Friendship is like a good pair of shoes, they wear well and last a long time!

Congratulations to our new members! They rocked it this week, along with several others…
Cindy was our BEST LOSER & Yvonne was Runner Up!
Wise activity/food: No Sweets and Portion Control…it works!
Our program was referenced from our TOPS News magazine by Wayne Frederick: Getting Personal- One man’s descriptive writing of his weight loss journey. A similar story we can all identify with.
A group discussion was had on what was one thing we changed last week or added to our lifestyle that was a positive toward our weight loss journey. We heard a variety of activities that were effective and will be continued.
Reminder: We would love to welcome new members! We meet each week at the Brady Acres Community Room. Weigh in 9:00-9:30, Meeting 9:30-10:30

Our losses truly “outweigh” our gains! This week was no exception! Staying conscious of our journey throughout the week, not just a day or two will get us to our goal!
We welcomed Cindy P. to our chapter this week…another member to begin her journey to a healthier lifestyle!
Best loser for the week was Linda S and Barb as Runner Up! These ladies formed a team and are crushing it! Congratulations!
Wise food/ activity: Awareness- staying focused, fasting
Bruce offered therapy from an article in our TOPS NEWS. His subject was Men in TOPS… it’s not just for women! We would love to see some guys join our chapter.
Sherri shared her positive message: Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m Possible!

We enjoyed a very productive meeting on Wednesday. Many losses in our group.
We welcome new member Linda E.! Our best to you, Linda. We are here to support you as you begin your journey to a healthier you.
Penny G was our Best Loser with Nancy as Runner Up. Congratulations, Ladies!
Great advice for Wise food and Activities:
Sensible eating, positive mindset, portion control, some fasting
Barb offered our program with an article from Tops News: KICKING THE HABIT .., explains the issue of habitual eating and how to overcome.
Positive Thought:
IF THE PLAN DOESN’T WORK, CHANGE THE PLAN, NOT THE GOAL.

We are breaking the scale record! Coming into fall like crazy...this cool weather is a benefit for our group.
Tied for the week's Best Loser was Sue C. and Kathy with Teri coming in as Runner Up.
Wise food/activity: Less sweet and increase activity. Choosing healthy snacks works every time! Congratulations, Ladies!
The September Best Loser of the month was Dawn with Nancy as Runner Up.
Sue A. offered therapy from the TOPS NEWS magazine...Spooky Season...Holidays...not HoliMonths! Enjoy the day of celebration...and then, back on track...Maintain control.
We are collecting toiletries for our local Food Pantry...any members that would like to contribute, we will have a box set aside for items.

Wednesday was a good day at TOPS 0674!
We welcomed Dolly LaRose, our Area Advocate. Dolly shared a thoughtful therapy "I Love Me-Self-Acceptance". Very powerful...we need to love us first...making going forward easier.
We celebrated our Best Loser: Yvonne and Runner Up: Linda
Wise food: Soups
Positive thought was delivered by Teri:

Very rewarding losses on Wednesday!
Penny H. was our Best Loser with Kathy as Runner Up.
Great advice on Wise Food/Activity:
Snacking under control, more exercise! Can beat that for sure.
The Fall Rally was held the previous Saturday in Gouverneur. Penny H offered a complete review of the event. 8 members from our chapter attended and were recognized for several achievements.
This is a very inspirational day and many people regain their initiative to work towards their goal!
Sue A offered therapy with a review of healthy fats/ protein/ fiber from our TOPS MAGAZINE.
We closed the meeting with our helping hands pledged.

Our September 10th meeting was very, very productive when it comes to weight losses! Our chapter celebrated one of the most significant loss:gain ratios.
With that said, Best Liser was Laurie with Sue C as runner up!
Wise food/activity: Better choices…well said.
Keep watching as we will be honoring some of our members for some important milestones.
Positive thought was shared by Nancy:
All our dreams will come true IF we have the courage to pursue them!

Our Wednesday meeting was a very uplifting experience!
We celebrated not only weekly losers but out August Best Losers.

We had a tie for weekly Best Losers:

Wise food/activity: Fresh vegetables and Keeping Active.
