Good activity ideas!

Wednesday’s January 14th daily planner has lots of options for staying positive and being productive as we move through the month.

Now that we’re two weeks into January, the middle of winter and the holidays in our rear view mirror can mean staying motivated isn’t always the easiest. The planner has simple ideas for self-care, food, journaling, and so much more.

You can either plan your day with the whole planner or simply pick and choose one or two of the ideas when you need inspiration or to make some quick decisions.

Great day at our TOPS meeting on Wednesday! Excellent losses for this week and full attendance.

Pat shared a great article from the PEOPLE magazine regarding Oprah and her use of GLP-1. Very interesting and a good mix of conversation followed.

Sue A shared an announcement: The Carthage VFW is hosting line dancing on Tuesday evenings: 6-8

Kennedy Jr., the initiative reflects growing evidence linking ultra-processed foods to obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease.

The updated approach emphasizes:

Prioritizing protein and nutrient-dense foods

Encouraging whole fruits and vegetables in their natural forms

Supporting healthy fats from foods like meat, dairy, eggs, seafood, nuts, and seeds

Reducing refined carbohydrates, added sugars, artificial additives, and highly processed foods

We gathered on New Year’s Eve for our final meeting of 2025. A smaller group than usual due to holiday plans, sickness and other obligations, however, our scales certainly didn’t disappoint! Proving we are in it for the win, our losses were many, gains were few.
Pat was our best loser, with Dawn as runner up! Congratulations, ladies…good work.
Wise activity: Portion Control/healthy choices
Cindy hosted the program with “7 TIPS FOR WEIGHTLOSS” describing 7 crucial areas that impact weightloss function and how to deal with them.
Positive thought was shared:
Embrace the journey…Life isn’t about the destination, but the path you take.
And another: Small steps lead to big results.
ON TO 2026! We’re off and running…and we would love to welcome new members.

Let’s start the New Year with the most healthy choices!

What we choose to eat every day has a profound impact on our health. Our Wednesday meeting was a shortened one so that we could enjoy a Christmas party full of fun and games.
We nearly had a full attendance, but missed Dawn due to illness.
Cindy was our Best Loser and a tie for Runner Up with Nancy and Kathy!
Congratulations, Ladies!
Wise food/activity: Be aware of intake…portion control, salads and water.
Our therapy was a good time and shared blessings as we enjoyed our little gathering.
Before closing, our positive thought was shared by Barb:
I’ve learned that Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!
Our chapter will not meet on December 24th, but will see everyone on New Year’s Eve!
