I am honoured to have the opportunity to lecture at Imperial College London over the coming days, teaching medical students about the critical role of nutrition in reducing chronic disease risk and how to identify and combat nutrition misinformation. Imperial College London is consistently ranked among the top universities globally and holds an impressive 4th place worldwide for Medicine (Times Higher Education 2025). 🔥 Contributing to the education of future doctors by equipping them with essential nutrition science is a privilege. This knowledge will not only help improve patient outcomes but also address the widespread issue of misinformation in the field. I am particularly encouraged to see that Imperial College London has recently introduced a lifestyle medicine module into its curriculum, allowing students to delve deeper into nutrition. Over these two days, I will be delivering lectures to eight groups of students, with additional sessions planned for those who choose nutrition for this module. While this is a significant step forward, there is still much work to be done to ensure nutrition education becomes a core component of all medical school curricula. A special thank you to Dr Federica Amati, Head of Nutrition at Imperial Medicine, for organising this initiative.
