In 1882, Ed Knell started a funeral home on the south side of the Carthage square. His new business was based on the simple principles of hard Knell Mortuary work, personal service, respect, dignity and compassion. Four generations of family, three locations and almost 120 years later, Ed's founding principles are still being practiced as the Knell Mortuary moves into its' third century of serving families in their time of need.
