My top five morning sickness recs:
1. Keep saltine crackers on your nightstand for midnight nausea.

2. Put electrolytes in your water - keep it diluted if strong flavors aren't great at the moment...

3. Eat whatever you can. F*** the guilt. What your body NEEDS is energy to make the cutest little baby it can. If all you can keep down are french fries, then eat the damn fries and add the healthy stuff back in when you're able.

4. If you can't keep your prenatal vitamins down, try a gummy version or a powdered version. Yes, quality matters, but it won't make a difference if you just yak it back up anyway.

5. Ask for help. Talk to your doctor/midwife, see an acupuncturist, look into home IV therapy if you can.. seek out local resources!

Pregnancy doesn’t always feel peaceful.

It can feel overwhelming, uncomfortable, and exhausting.

That doesn’t make you ungrateful, it makes you human.

They made teen pregnancy feel like an inevitable disaster.

No one prepared us for the reality that for so many people, getting pregnant is anything but easy.

Now we’re having conversations about declining birth rates, while an entire generation quietly navigates infertility, pregnancy loss, IVF, IUI, and the emotional weight of trying to conceive. Trying to do something we were told would be easy.

Infertility Awareness Week matters because this conversation should have started a long time ago.

Fertility is not something to fear.
It’s something we deserve better education, support, and compassion around.

We were taught to fear pregnancy.

“It only takes one time.”
“Be careful.”
“Don’t get pregnant, you'll ruin your life.”

The message was always clear: getting pregnant is easy.

What no one really prepared us for was the reality that for so many people, it's actually really F***ing hard.

Friendly reminder that we were lied to.

Remember high school s*x ed? We were taught that we had to be so careful, and FEARFUL of teen pregnancy.

Because it’s SO easy. It only takes one time.

That deep sadness and anger you feel is valid. I carry it with you.

Acupuncture isn’t about doing more. It’s about helping your body regulate.

Supporting:
- nervous system balance
- circulation
- rest and recovery

Small, consistent support can create a bigger shift than you think.

If your body feels “off,” it’s easy to think something is wrong.

But your body isn’t broken.

It’s adapting. Responding. Trying to find balance. The goal isn’t to force it — it’s to support it.

Verdae Wellness didn’t start as just an idea—it started as a need.

A need for a space where the hard conversations aren’t rushed, minimized, or avoided. Where grief, hope, frustration, and uncertainty can all exist at the same time.

This work is both professional and deeply personal for me. I’m walking this path, too—and I know how much this kind of support matters.

That’s why I offer couples acupuncture visits — to support both partners, at the same time.

Because:
- s***m health matters
- stress affects both people
- emotional support is shared

These visits are offered at a couples rate to encourage care for both partners, because this process was never meant to be one-sided.

Western medicine focuses on diagnosis and precision.
Eastern medicine looks at patterns, balance, and the bigger picture.

Both offer something essential.

When we bring these perspectives together, care becomes more complete — and often more supportive.

If you’ve been feeling like something is missing in your health journey, sometimes it’s not about doing more… it’s about looking at your body through a different lens.
