Last week, our crew took a trip to the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts for Rick Steves’ Europe Symphony Special.

We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, from the beautiful music to Rick Steves’ live hosting and the wonderful company.

It may be getting colder outside, but things stayed warm and cheerful at our Coats & Kindness Social Series event!

Guests enjoyed live entertainment from Jenny Wayne, a lively raffle, seasonal treats, and a decadent hot chocolate bar—all while collecting coats and warm items to support our local community.

We can’t think of a cozier way to give back and spread kindness!

On Veterans Day, our community came together to honor the heroes who have served our country.

To honor our veterans, we hosted a special ceremony recognizing our resident and staff members who have served. Our Maintenance Director, Don, delivered a heartfelt speech, and our Executive Director led a meaningful pinning ceremony.
Afterward, everyone joined in a patriotic sing-along and enjoyed a festive Veterans Day dinner to conclude the evening.

To all who have served: Thank you for your bravery and service. 🇺🇸

Last week, our staff and residents visited the Apex Senior Center for their incredible art showcase! It was inspiring to see all the beautiful creations made by the talented senior community in Apex. Our team brought along refreshments for visitors to enjoy while admiring the artwork. We can’t wait to visit again!

🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎃

Today we celebrated in style with a festive costume contest and parade! Both residents and staff showed off their creativity with some truly amazing costumes. We wrapped up the day with a spooky, Halloween-themed dinner party—special thanks to Table Five Jazz for providing fantastic live entertainment!

Earlier in the week, we kicked off the Halloween fun with kids, candy, and kindness during our door decorating contest. Our staff also got into the spirit with a pumpkin decorating competition that brought out everyone’s artistic side!

Aloha!🌺

We decided to host a Hawaiian-themed party in mid-October while the North Carolina weather is still beautiful! Tonight, we enjoyed a delicious Hawaiian dinner and desserts outdoors. The evening featured lively Hawaiian dancers, and everyone showed up in their best vacation gear. Toward the end of the night, residents joined in and learned some Hawaiian dance moves together — such a sweet and joyful way to end the evening!

Team members got to customize their meals with a variety of sauces and toppings — a fun and flavorful way to take a break together.

Did you know October is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of Polish Americans in culture, science, art and more?

Our Taste Poland event celebrated the rich flavors of Central Europe, featuring classic dishes like pierogies topped with caramelized onions, kielbasa served alongside cucumber salad, hearty potatoes with sauerkraut, and a traditional Polish cake for dessert.

To make the evening even more special, one of our talented staff members, Allison, performed songs in Polish, adding a heartfelt and cultural touch to the experience!

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination next month!

Our Page Turners Social Series event was a great success, bringing together our resident book lovers for an afternoon of engaging conversation and delicious snacks.

We were honored to welcome Marjorie K. Eastman, award-winning author of The Frontline Generation: How We Served Post 9/11. She shared powerful stories from her book and gave an inspiring presentation on her experiences in the military.

We had an amazing time on our Jordan Lake boat tour! We learned all about the local wildlife and the lake’s history, all while enjoying the fresh air and each other’s company.
