Most PTs will tell you to stop lifting.
Rest it. Ice it. Come back in 6 weeks.
So you do. And then 6 weeks later you try to train again and the same thing happens. Maybe worse.
I see this constantly. Smart, driven people who just want to get back to training the way they used to. And they keep getting the same generic advice that isn’t actually moving the needle.
