Yup… I know, I know. The word bedsharing is like a cuss word in the American culture.
And trust me, with my first I did not want to bedshare. Mainly because I love my sleep by myself but also because I was scared into thinking that it was the most dangerous thing you could do. Plus, my first didn’t really have a tough time sleeping in the bassinet!
This time around? Ha, my 6 week old laughs at me when I try to get him in his bassinet.
So… what do I do? Fight with him all night keeping myself and my husband up or bring him in to bed with us and SAFELY bedshare? My sleep deprived self chooses the latter.
Now, I know I’ll have a bunch of people come at me so I want to say this - I’m not advocating for you to bedshare. I’m also not telling you to bedshare. I’m EDUCATING so if you do, you can do it safely.
So how do we do that? The Safe Sleep 7 from The La Leche League lalecheleagueusa .leche.league
