🏅 I received a badge of honor last night

How your provider talks to you matters.

We should not fear normal human function: squatting, bending, twisting, lifting, walking barefoot.

Your provider should be educating you and empowering you to do these things… not avoid them of fear them.

Sadly, some of y’all might need to find new providers now…

🦶🏼 Your feet need to move.
👟 Most of the time, your shoes don’t.

More cushion, arch support and stiffness are not the answer.

They might actually be making things worse.

Stop chasing more from your shoes and start chasing more from your feet.

🩻 Imaging should support clinical findings… Not replace them.

Too many decisions get made from a picture instead of a person.

⚡️Pain is a signal, not a sentence.

It’s your body asking for attention, not telling you you’re broken.

Listen, learn, and move forward.

Time to ruffle some 🪶🪶🪶

I’m not going to chase you down. But someone who “keeps fixing” the issue isn’t really helping you… it’s the definition of insanity 🤡

Manual, needles, cups can absolutely have a role in pain and/or nervous system function. But they don’t fix anything.

Real rehab takes more work and time creating new movements and neural pathways. Your insurance won’t pay for that and your generic handout exercises won’t explain that.

But your choice… 🤷🏻‍♀️

The foot and hip don’t work in isolation.

The foot sets the base, load travels up the chain, and the hip influences how the foot moves and absorbs force.

Ignore one, and the other usually lets you know.

🏋🏻‍♂️ More load doesn’t automatically create more strength.

Muscles also need the ability to lengthen and control load through range.

🦵🏼That’s where the foot and hip work together.

🦶🏼When the foot can spread and create a stable base, the hip has room to hinge and rotate. From there the glutes and hamstrings can lengthen, load, and share the work.

Strength isn’t the problem.
You’re just adding load to the wrong position.

Your glutes don’t work in isolation.

Often they aren’t “off”… they’re likely turned up too high.
More squeezing doesn’t help if the dimmer is already maxed out.

Sometimes the first step is learning how to turn things down.

Start with the foot.
Restore hip rotation.
Then the glutes can find their balance again.

“Glute amnesia” is often a lazy diagnosis.

The glutes usually aren’t asleep.
If the plan is just more activation drills…
the real problem may have been missed.

How often are you seeing this advice right now?

Weak ankles don’t need braces, taping or supportive shoes.

They need training in order to learn HOW to be your support again.

How many times have you sprained an ankle?
