Today we’re celebrating Jeanne, our beloved office manager and true OG of Johnson Eye Care, for an incredible 36 years of keeping everything running smoothly, all while making patients and staff feel right at home. 💛

From her legendary organization skills to her endless smiles and good vibes, Jeanne is the heart of our team. We can’t imagine this place without her! 🥳

👓 Meet Dr. Rebecca Schoepke! One of the fabulous optometrists at Johnson Eye Care 💙

Dr. Schoepke earned her Biology degree from Wheaton College and went on to complete her doctorate at the Illinois College of Optometry. She loves getting to know her patients and caring for eyes of all ages, from school days to golden years. ✨

Outside the office, Dr. Schoepke often volunteers on mission trips providing free vision care to communities in need — most recently in Jamaica. 🇯🇲💛

When she’s home, you’ll find her in Cary with her husband, Brian, and their four kids — staying busy, laughing often, and keeping life in focus!

👁️🎃 Don’t let scary eye myths haunt your vision! 🎃👁️

From “reading in the dark ruins your eyes” to “carrots can fix your vision,” there are plenty of spooky stories floating around about eye health 👻 but not all of them are true:

👻 Myth 1: Reading in dim light will ruin your eyes.
✨ Truth: It might cause temporary strain, but it won’t cause permanent damage.

👻 Myth 2: Wearing glasses makes your vision worse over time.
✨ Truth: Glasses help you see clearly — they don’t weaken your eyes.

👻 Myth 3: Sitting too close to the TV will damage your eyes.
✨ Truth: It can lead to eye fatigue, but it won’t harm your vision long-term.
