“I like to talk to people and make them happy.”

Oscar, a dear friend of our Playhouse, recently filmed with and stars in Stories Made With Love, a movie to raise awareness and acceptance for individuals with Down syndrome. 🙌

The documentary highlights his journey, from moving to a new town, longing for friends, and searching for a job. Oscar’s mother, Carmelina, recalls how he showed amazing empathy and compassion from an early age. Oscar’s siblings share how they’ve grown as human beings to become advocates for their brother with Down syndrome. Jackson, filmmaker and friend, introduces Oscar to Kevin, an actor with Down syndrome, in hopes of sparking a new friendship.

Check out Oscar’s full documentary and more on the Stories Made With Love YouTube channel. They’re on a journey to make a movie called “Made With Love”, inspired by their friend Jay, who has Down syndrome. Along the way, they’ve met incredible people whose stories have inspired them — calling them Stories Made With Love.

The Town of Cary presents: Gettin’ Around with GoCary, a wonderful program done in collaboration with the Town of Cary's GoCary para-transportation services. ✨

This three-part program will provides participants with the opportunity to gain knowledge about:

🌟Bus Routes
🌟Arrival and Departure Schedules
🌟Accessing General Transit Information

We will end this session by riding the Downtown Loop route! 🚧
