Ladies WODS Event

Our ladies brought the energy OUTSIDE the gym last week! ๐Ÿ’ช

A group of CrossFit Coordinate women took on a Women Out Doing Surprises (WODS) night โ€” and this one did NOT disappoint. They stepped onto the mats to learn jiu-jitsu, challenged themselves in a totally new way, and then wrapped up the evening with dinner together.

This is what we're all about. Fitness doesn't stop at the gym door. It's about building friendships, trying new things, and cheering each other on โ€” whether it's a barbell or a brand-new sport.

Hip Stretch and Mobility - Hip Reaches
The Hip Stretch Reached targets your hips and glutesโ€”areas that get chronically tight from sitting at desks, driving, and daily life.
Why it matters: Better hip mobility means deeper squats, safer lifts, and less lower back pain in your workouts AND everyday movements.

How To Do It:
โœ… Begin Seated with one leg in front of you and off the ground
โœ… Swing that leg behind you and reach forward. Try and keep that leg off the ground
โœ… Focus on moving Smoothly and slowly
โœ… Repeat this 2 Times with the same leg
โœ… Switch Legs

Pro tip: Do this weekly. Consistency > intensity when it comes to mobility.
Your hips will thank you. ๐Ÿ’ช

The Seated Heel Click Stretch targets your hip flexors, adductors, and external rotatorsโ€”areas that get chronically tight from sitting at desks, driving, and daily life.

Why it matters: Better hip mobility means deeper squats, safer lifts, and less lower back pain in your workouts AND everyday movements.

How To Do It:
โœ… Sit with one leg in front of you with your knee bent with your other foot on the other ground
โœ… Lift your heel up and touch your other heel
โœ… Slowly move your leg behind you touching your knee to the ground
โœ… Repeat this 2 Times with the same leg
โœ… Switch Legs

Pro tip: Do this before your workout or while watching TV. Consistency > intensity when it comes to mobility.

Hip Adductor Stretch: Your Inner Thigh Mobility Reset
Your adductors (inner thigh muscles) get tight from sitting, running, and repetitive movement patterns. This stretch helps you move better and feel better.

Benefits:
โœ… Improves squat depth and hip mobility
โœ… Reduces groin strain risk during workouts
โœ… Relieves tightness from sitting and repetitive movements
โœ… Enhances athletic performance and range of motion
โœ… Supports better movement patterns in daily life

Pro tip: If you canโ€™t feel the stretch, widen your stance. If you feel pinching or sharp pain (not a stretch sensation), narrow it slightly.

Do this 2-3 times per week or daily if youโ€™re dealing with chronic tightness. Consistency beats intensity.
