🦷On Wednesdays, we talk about teeth💁‍♀️ Fluoride IS extremely important for both children and adults! Fluoride aids in repairing and preventing damage to your teeth caused by bacteria in the mouth. It replaces minerals lost from a tooth due to acid breakdown. Types of Fluoride include toothpaste, mouth rinses, varnish and supplements. FUN FACT: Reverse Osmosis(RO) removes all minerals from water. If your sole drinking water is from RO, be sure to incorporate other forms of fluoride into your diet!

Xylitol toothpaste is gaining attention for its ability to limit harmful bacteria and reduce cavity risk.

While it doesn't promote tooth decay, studies show mixed results on its effectiveness compared to standard fluoride toothpaste.

Dentists recommend using xylitol toothpaste alongside fluoride-based options for optimal oral health.

Remember, xylitol is toxic to dogs, so keep it out of their reach!

Oral care is more than just brushing twice a day!

Dentists emphasize the importance of flossing, using fluoride toothpaste, and regular dental checkups for a healthy smile.

While trendy products like charcoal toothpaste may grab attention, experts recommend sticking to ADA-approved basics for long-term benefits.

Charcoal toothpaste is trending, but is it worth the hype?

While it may temporarily brighten teeth by removing surface stains, dentists warn about its abrasive nature, which can wear down enamel over time.

Without fluoride, many charcoal toothpastes lack essential protection against cavities.

For a healthier smile, consider professional whitening or gentler alternatives like baking soda.
