We haven't had much of a chance to post lately. Not only has work been very busy, but the new addition to the household has inserted a bit of chaos into our lives. That chaos is our new Anatolian puppy Percy (Perseus). We thought we would introduce you all to him. He is a bit over 13 weeks old and about 45+ pounds of love and energy. He is a good boy, if not overly energetic and goofy. We will keep everyone updated on Percy as he continues to grow and learn.

Eagle Eye

Tiger Eye is well known and very popular stone. Most people are familiar with Golden Tiger Eye, the variant of Tiger Eye that has a golden-brown color. The ‘eye’ part of the stone is due to varieties of quartz within the stone that exhibit chatoyancy (the "cat's-eye" effect).

Tiger eye also comes in varieties including Reg Tiger Eye that can develop the red color naturally through the gradual oxidation of the iron within the stone and Blue Tiger Eye where the original asbestos fibers of Crocidolite within the rock are replaced by silica and iron.

One of the ‘blue’ varieties we love here at Silver Moon Reiki is called Eagle Eye. Eagle eye tends to have more blues and grays as typical colors. It has interesting metaphysical properties and is an excellent stone for using in energy work as well as in everyday life.

We sell Eagle Eye in our crystal store as bracelets, which is a great way to allow its unique vibration into your energy field.

Reiki I First Degree Training, Beginner's training - NOW ENROLLING!

No experience or previous training required. Traditional Usui Reiki will be learned. Four 1st degree attunements will be received which allow Reiki energy to flow through you – an ability that lasts a lifetime! You will learn the history of Reiki; the Reiki precepts; practice techniques to ground, center and protect; introduction to the chakra system; and training in classic Reiki protocol and hand positions for use on yourself and others.

One thing is constant, everything changes! When we launched our business almost a decade ago, and the way the internet was used and sites are found has changed. Shamanic Journeying – The White Temple

This location had showed up multiple times, both in self-journeys and in work with clients.

This mysterious temple is located near the peak of a snowy mountain. The only way to gain entry is to strike the large gong near the entrance. Once the gong is struck, and you are considered worthy, the door mysteriously opens, allowing you to step inside. The temple is always different on the inside, as if the temple itself is a portal that allows you to go, see, and do what is necessary for you on each and every journey.

Another wonderous and magical location in the mysterious Otherworld!

Shamanic Journeying – Frog Town

This healing session was due to a client who returned from a trip to New Orleans and wasn’t feeling physically and emotionally well after getting back.

During the session, our practitioners were taken to a place in Shamanic Lore called the Lower World, a place of beauty and wonder where spirits of animals, nature, and things hidden are found. In this place, many types of spirits reside, some helpful, some harmful, and some neither or both.

This specific place in the Lower World looked like subterranean tunnels and caves. Many sections were submerged or part filled with water. Here, several aggressive frog-like humanoids lived. They were negative in nature and attacked and attached both to willing Lower World travelers (like a journeying practitioner) as well as the unwilling (those in our waking world who might be dreaming or simply vulnerable to such predators). Apparently, our client had somehow gotten their attention during the trip.

Pictured is a rendition of what we call Frog Town, where they were found in great numbers. Also pictured is one of the dark tunnels where they might lurk in order to ambush Lower World travelers.

Shamanic Journeying – the Tree of Life and the Pool of Possibilities

In this Journey, the practitioner was taken to a serene place with endless stars where the ground look like clouds. Here, a large white Tree of Life, stood vigil over a shimmering pool.

A Tree of Life, or World Tree, is often seen as a portal connecting all the realms, and is a powerful living being seen as benevolent. The Tree of Life was the protector of this hidden realm, and as otherworldly breezes blew though the stars, small chimes and bells attached to its limbs would chime and sing in a harmonious tone.

Within the water of the hidden pool were small, translucent fish who had a warm inner light or glow. This was the Pool of Possibilities, wherever possible choice, movement, or outcome was contained. Each glowing fish represented a different choice or outcome.

It was forbidden for most beings to enter this realm, as control over the Pool was control over other’s destiny. It was a quiet, beautiful, and serene location, filled with power, majesty, and wonder.

Shamanic Journeying

Here at Silver Moon Reiki, we are an integrated energy healing practice, where we utilize Reiki, Angelic, Modern Shamanic, and Crystal healing in our client healing visits. In our next several posts, we will discuss the fascinating world of shamanic journeying, the principal tool used in Modern Shamanistic Practices.

Shamanic Journeying is when the spirit/soul/energy of any individual interacts with the hidden, spiritual, or energetic world in a purposeful way. This is done intentionally by the practitioner for the purposes of looking beyond our ordinary time and space to gain information, insight, or experiences that are normally hidden from us. This goes beyond simply viewing or scrying, as the Journeying practitioner is more than just viewing – they are interacting with and creating change in the spiritual/energy environment.

Journeying presents to us new possibilities for self-growth and personal healing, as well as a powerful tool we can use to assist others on their personal healing pathways. It grants the practitioner a view to the spiritual cause of an issue, allowing them to effect positive change for their clients or selves.

In the next several posts, we will highlight certain places where our journeys have taken us in this amazing and hidden realm. These are actual personal or professional journeying experiences from our practitioners. Stay tuned, we hope you will find these posts enlightening.
