Solid advice.

Growth doesn’t come from comfort. It comes from facing truths we often try to avoid. These six lessons may feel heavy, but they hold the power to set you free:

1️⃣ Your self-love must be stronger than your desire to be loved.
Craving love from outside makes you dependent, but cultivating love within makes you unshakable. As the Buddha taught, “You yourself, as much as anybody in the universe, deserve your love and affection.”

2️⃣ You are always responsible for your emotional reactions.
The world may provoke you, but how you respond is always your choice. Peace begins the moment you stop letting others control your inner state.

3️⃣ Don’t feed your problems with thoughts, starve them with action.
Overthinking makes mountains out of molehills. Action, however small, is the medicine that transforms fear into progress.

4️⃣ Your life will be defined by your ability to handle uncertainty.
Impermanence is the only certainty. Learn to dance with change instead of resisting it, and you’ll discover freedom in the flow.

5️⃣ If your goal is to have a healthier mind, start by removing the junk from your diet.
Body and mind are not separate. Nourish your body with clarity, and your thoughts will naturally follow.

6️⃣ Your ‘best life’ won’t seek validation, but insecurity will.
When you stop chasing applause, you begin to live authentically. True confidence is quiet. Insecurity is loud.

✨ These lessons may feel uncomfortable, but they are the seeds of inner peace. When practiced, they transform suffering into wisdom and chaos into clarity.

🌸 Remember: Life doesn’t get easier, but you get wiser. And wisdom is what sets the spirit free

This is how the story begins...

At the start of each year, four Elders are chosen from our local community. For nine months, they meet every month with Theresa, Deb, and Robin (their Elderhood guides)

They gather to ask big, beautiful questions:
🌿 What does it mean to be an Elder?
🌀 What is wisdom, really?
🌸 How can I offer what I’ve learned to my community?

They talk. They feel. They reflect. They explore Elderhood together—with curiosity, humor, and heart.

Then, in September and October, they sit on stage and share their journey—and maybe a bit of their story—with all of us.

There’s a short documentary. You’ll be able to ask questions. And the whole thing feels like your grandmother just gave you a hug.

It’s soft. It’s slow. It’s sweet. And it’s something our whole community needs. 💛
