Loretta Ross
The co-founder of SisterSong, her work centers on women's human rights, reproductive justice, white supremacy, and women of color organizing. She is a speaker, an educator, and advocate for a plethora of issues including: Reproductive Justice, Appropriate Whiteness, Human Rights, Violence Against Women, and Calling In the Calling Out Culture. Her work has been pivotal to education and access for young women of color.

Maya Angelou
A writer whose work in poetry and prose are both outstanding and powerful. To many, her work as an author and poet is inspirational and groundbreaking- but that paired with her activism in the anti-rape movements have helped many more find solace and retribution.

One of the greatest contemporary American novelists who has shaped the genre of Black literature. With stories that tell the impacts of racial, gender, and economic disparities- Morrison’s stories and work underlines the ways reproductive rights have been denied to Black Women. Making your own medical decisions is in Wyoming's constitution and they're deliberately making laws to diminish the weight of that.

American Marxist and feminist political activist, philosopher, academic, author and social theorist. Her writings detail the ways in which reproductive spaces have interacted with Black communities- highlighting the history of reproductive violence imposed upon black bodies and how that impacts attitudes towards reproductive health, access, and fears within these communities.
