Some quick abortion facts everyone should know!
1. Medication abortion is safer than most other low-risk drugs including but not limited to: Penicillin, Vi**ra, Tylenol, and many more. Follow-up procedures for complications only happen in about 3% of cases, majority of which is to remove excess tissue- a common procedure seen in both miscarriages and post-labor treatment with little invasion.
2. Procedural abortions can take as little as 5 minutes! It depends per person and per case, but if done in early stages, this non-surgical procedure can be safely done in a flash.
3. Independent clinics provide about 58% of abortions in the U.S. according to the 2025 report from Abortion Care Network. So support some independent clinics today!

We wanted to share some exciting news. Right before the end of 2025 we met our 250K match! This means that your support is going twice as far to protect and provide abortion care. Our victory in the State Supreme Court does not mean our fight is over, just that we are taking the next step. We remain steadfast in our commitment to continue the fight for bodily autonomy.

Wrapping up the end of the year and getting ready for 2026! To tie up this year nicely:
- Wellspring has provided both procedural and medication abortions to patients from 20 different states (that’s 40% of the states!!).
-March, the Wyoming State Legislature passed TRAP bills to directly target our Casper Clinic. In April, we were granted an injunction and were able to immediately resume seeing patients. Our hearing for these bills will be in March of 2026.
-We presented oral arguments for our State Supreme Court case, arguing that the right to abortion is protected by the State Constitution, a case we had previously in the Teton County Court. We are still awaiting a decision.
