Get to know our P.A., Steven Bang!

Fun fact, Steven worked in the Alaska fish canneries and later served four years in the United States Army as an airborne combat medic. After the Army, Steven graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor's in Athletic Therapy in 2021, and a Master's of Physician Assistant in 2023. He loves to help in surgery, trauma, and emergency medicine and has loved improving the health of Wyoming's communities since joining WSA in June last year!

What is the LINX Reflux Management System?

The minimally invasive treatment uses an implant designed to support the body’s natural defense against reflux. The LINX device consists of a small, flexible ring of magnetic titanium beads that is placed around the lower esophageal sphincter. Colorectal cancer rates in younger adults are skyrocketing with a roughly 2% annual increase in cases since the 1990s. It is now the leading cause of cancer death for men under 50 and the second for women under 50. What's going on?

According to the American Cancer Society, lifestyle choices such as lack of exercise, sedentary lifestyles, long-term smoking and drinking, and an increased consumption of processed foods and red meat are factors in the increase in colorectal cancer.
