The 12-24 Club is proud of the role Casper’s recovery community, Natrona County Adult Drug Court, and especially our friend Officer Terry Jackson play in strengthening Natrona County’s public health strategy.

Recovery is not a fringe issue. It is a proven, cost-effective investment in community wellbeing.

With every person who finds recovery, th many communities arcoss Central Wyoming gain:
• Safer homes and stronger families
• Less strain on healthcare and emergency services
• Reduced crime and recidivism
• A stronger, more reliable workforce

Recovery matters. It saves lives, restores families, strengthens communities, and improves nearly every measurable part of a person’s socioeconomic well-being. But it also quietly changes the lives of the people who stand by those in recovery; the friends, family members, partners and spouse’s who walk the journey alongside them.

Sobriety isn’t easy. It’s brave.
And supporting someone in recovery is a sincere act of love.

We’re truly grateful whenever friends in our community use their voices to advocate for recovery and to point people toward places like the 12-24 Club. When you help share the message, more people find their way to hope, connection, and the real work of rebuilding their lives.

If you or someone you love needs support, please know this: it’s never too late to start.

Someone I love very much is celebrating 1,000 days of sobriety today. I am so incredibly proud of them, and honestly, I’m inspired every single day by their determination. The strength and courage it takes to stay committed to this never-ending journey, especially here in Wyoming where alcohol is woven so deeply into the culture, is nothing short of extraordinary!

Choosing sobriety isn’t the easy path. It’s the brave one. And standing by them as they work every day for their health, their happiness, and their future has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

The 12-24 Club recently honored Natrona County Adult Drug Court Officer Terry Jackson with our annual Beacon of Hope Award; a recognition given each year at the Recovery Rally to someone who has made a lasting, positive impact on Central Wyoming’s recovery community.

Last night, the City of Casper took that recognition a step further by publicly recognizing Officer Jackson for the award and for his dedication to people who are justice-involved and navigating addiction. We are profoundly grateful to Chief Chaney and the Casper Police Department for showing up with genuine support. Their presence reinforced something we see every day: recovery is a community effort.

The City’s recognition sends a powerful message about who we are and what we value:
• That people facing addiction are not second-class citizens, but valued neighbors and contributors to Casper’s wellbeing.
• That treatment, compassion, and second chances are not just personal ideals; they’re community priorities.
• That recovery-focused organizations like the 12-24 Club are essential partners in building a safer, healthier city.
• And that free, anonymous, lived-experience support is available the moment someone needs it; whether that’s at the 12-24 Club, a different meeting location in Casper, or even by calling a hotline. Help is here.
