Easter is a season of renewal.

But renewal does not always mean something new.
Sometimes it means finding a new way to hold what has always mattered.

A memory.
A relationship.
A love that does not go away.

At Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions, we see that every day, in the quiet strength of the families we serve.

This season, we honor the way love continues, even through loss.

With you. 💜

You're facing a serious illness. You're still seeking treatment. But the daily challenges are piling up.

Our Transitions program offers free, non-medical support to help you stay independent: companionship, transportation to appointments, help with errands and correspondence, respite for your caregivers, and connection to community resources.

Since 2005, we've matched people with case managers and volunteers who understand what you need—whether that's a ride, help with daily tasks, or just someone who gets it.

You don't need to be enrolled in hospice. You don't need to pay. You just need to reach out.

After a long hospital stay, Kris faced the most difficult decision of her life.

One call to Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions brought guidance, compassion, and a steady presence during a week filled with uncertainty and love. Her husband’s time in hospice care was less than a day, but in those hours her family experienced respect, privacy, and sincere care that allowed them to say goodbye with peace.

In the months that followed, the support continued with notes, grief guidance, and the reminder that they had not been forgotten.

We are honored to walk alongside families in moments that matter most.

We're grateful to have Scott Sissman serving on our Board of Directors. 💜

Scott's roots run deep in Casper—he grew up here, graduated from Natrona County High School in '65, and after earning his degree in Petroleum Engineering and serving as a Navy Lieutenant, he came back home to join the family business, Power Service, Inc.

As President and General Manager, Scott grew Power Service from a local operation to a multi-state company with 60 employees before retiring in 2005. But retirement didn't mean slowing down for Scott.

He's spent these years serving his church as an elder and deacon, supporting local nonprofits, and volunteering as a hospice patient volunteer—bringing his steady presence and compassionate heart to families facing life's most difficult moments.

Scott understands firsthand the sacred work of hospice care, and his perspective helps guide our mission to serve every family in Central Wyoming with dignity and compassion.

We're honored to have his wisdom, his heart for service, and his deep community roots on our board. Thank you, Scott, for all you do. 💜

Our next Volunteer Training is Friday, March 27, from 9 AM to 3 PM at 319 S. Wilson St. in Casper. Lunch is provided.

Volunteering with Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions is not about doing more. It is about being present.

Our volunteers sit with patients who need companionship. They offer rest to caregivers who are carrying so much. They bring warmth, conversation, and steady support to families walking through tender days.

If you have felt the quiet nudge to serve, this training will prepare you to show up with confidence and compassion. You will learn what to expect, connect with others who share your heart for service, and discover the meaningful difference simple presence can make.

Spring has a way of reminding us that life is moving forward. Flowers bloom. Days grow longer. The world feels lighter.🌸

But grief does not follow the calendar.📆

If you are carrying loss while everything around you seems to be coming back to life, that contrast can feel heavy and isolating.

At Mourning Dove Grief Care, we offer space for your grief in every season. No pressure to feel better. No expectations to move on. Just support, understanding, and steady presence.💜

Join us for our Widows Group Lunch every Tuesday at 12:30 pm, or visit centralwyominghospice.org/events to learn about upcoming support groups.

Let's take a minute to talk about how amazing our veteran volunteers are. They are the proud recipients of the Dan Starks Excellence in Veteran Service Award. This award recognizes those who demonstrate exceptional dedication to serving Wyoming's veteran community. These volunteers make sure our veterans are recognized for their service. For some veterans this is the first time they have been recognized in a supportive way. These volunteers also continue serving by sitting vigil, listening to stories, wiping tears, and enjoying belly laughs. They go above and beyond and are simply amazing!! If you are interested in becoming a Veteran Volunteer please call Dana at 577-4832. We salute you!!

Our Story

Whatever challenges your family is facing with a serious illness, we are here to offer support, expert care, and understanding. Our goal is your comfort, quality of life, and peace of mind.

In 1981, Central Wyoming Hospice began as a Wyoming-grown, volunteer organization to help families in our community facing the challenges of end-of life. Since then, as the only non-profit hospice in Natrona and Converse counties, we continue to be committed to helping our neighbors have the best days possible.
