1. You can’t build lasting strength on a bad foundation
If your joints aren’t moving well, your body will find a workaround. That might “work” in the short term, but you’re just layering strength on top of compensation.
Eventually something gives, usually the low back, knees, or shoulders. I recommend cleaning up the movement first, then load it.
2. Better movement = better force output
When you move well, you actually use the muscles you’re trying to train. You’ll feel the right things working and produce more force💥
Strength built on good mechanics carries over to sport, lifting, and real life🚶♂️
3. It keeps you in the game longer
Chasing numbers with poor movement is a fast track to setbacks. Fixing how you move reduces unnecessary stress on your joints so you can train consistently. And consistency (not one perfect workout) is what gets you results.
If something feels off... 🧼 Clean it up, then build it up 🏰🔨
