When aunt flo decides to come for a visit once a month she tends to bring some unwelcomed gifts with her like back pain, cramps, and just overall tension for the whole body. This experience can be overwhelming and painful. However, going through yoga postures can help relieve this pain by releasing tension and regulating the glandular system (the hormonal system). Moving your spine in all 6 directions and releasing tension in the hips can help relieve a good chunk of the pain and discomfort that we feel as women. Allowing ourselves this relief during this time of month, can let us go inwards during this time and really figure out what we need in order to find balance as we help our body's go through this time of unrest within ourselves.
