You know what’s harder to talk about than sadness during the holidays?
Numbness.

Not joy. Not gratitude. Not even stress.
Just running on autopilot, like your inner battery is stuck in low-power mode.
This isn’t laziness or coldness - it’s your body in survival mode.
It’s what happens when you’ve been carrying too much for too long, and now your system is whispering: “I can’t keep up.”

The truth is, this kind of emotional shutdown often flies under the radar - especially for those of us used to pushing through.
