Edwardsburg Public Schools is opening the Intermediate School cafeteria starting at 10:00 am today, Saturday, March 7, 2026, for any school families, community members, or first responders who need a place to go or a meal. The space will be available as a safe and welcoming place for members of the Edwardsburg community and our first responders.

We are incredibly grateful to our food service and operations staff who stepped up quickly to make this possible. Their efforts reflect the care and commitment that defines our Eddie community.

Our district crisis team is assembling today to coordinate additional support for students, families, and staff. We will share more information about available resources as it becomes available.

During challenging moments like this, our strength as a community is in supporting one another. Edwardsburg Public Schools remains committed to being there for our families and community.

KJ, a 9-week-old Bloodhound, is set to receive training in man trailing, a field where her sister Britton is already established. For the latest updates on KJ's training, visit the Britton & KJ The Bloodhounds page. KJ's name serves as a memorial tribute to dispatcher Kelly Jerue, who succumbed to cancer in 2025.
