Well it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on here and I should have done this yesterday but frankly, I was just too exhausted!

Apparently since the riding horses around here all have issues, my mom decided she should ride me yesterday through a little obstacle course! Mind you, I do like a good obstacle course but I’m no saddle donkey. Guess that’s not a concern to her as she didn’t need a saddle. She just swung a leg over and said giddy up……. Say what?! I don’t giddy up! My dad had to lead me through the course and of course I knew it better than he did.

Today my mom has been complaining about how sore she is from the ride! Oh give me a break!!!!! Who carried who?!

Yesterday was Penny’s 11th birthday. She wanted to celebrate by going to a neighbor’s place to hang out with her handsome gelding horse. You betcha I tagged along too as I was rather concerned that she might be dumping me. While trailering is not my preferred means of transportation, I didn’t hesitate a donkey minute on jumping up in it with her. Let’s just say when we arrived at her chosen party place, the gelding was not interested in Penny, not even a little bit. He might have been feeling a little intimidated by my handsomeness which is a-ok with me. We partied for awhile on the luscious green grass and then we both hopped back up in the trailer together and went home. She’ll always be my girl and I sure love her!

I bet there might be one or two of you that have been wondering what I’ve been up to lately……. Well let’s just say not a whole lot as my mom has been a little busy with gentling wild BLM b***os. I used to be one of them and look at me now!

Mom finally had some extra time to spend with me today and look what we did! We did a little trail maintenance with Dad. I carried all of the supplies in my panniers to help replace trail stickers, fix fence rails, pick up trash, and I even helped with a little weeding! It was a good day to be me!

Happy Valentine’s Day! To celebrate I planned a special sunset dinner with my best girl, Penny. Wishing we could have been on a sandy beach instead of a messy wet paddock but we made the best of it!

I got my pearly whites floated today by my fav vet, Dr Dunbar, as well as my tear ducts flushed and my sheath cleaned! Yikes!!! Thank goodness there were no photos taken of the last cleaning! 🫣
Penny was very concerned about me and stood at the door watching the entire time. I wasn’t concerned as I have all the trust in the world in Dr. Dunbar and she always takes such good care of me.
