Merry Christmas!
I'm visiting family in Houston, so you know what that means. Wearing summer clothes for the heat and humidity, playing pickup basketball on Xmas day, and doing evaluations on family members aches and pains. 😁😆.
I love this stuff
1st client: teenager with elbow pain and is a high level baseball pitcher. Pain for 6mo and intermittent.
Assessment found good strength overall, but a super tight shoulder joint. Some manual therapy and stretching improved his range of motion in 15min and decreased the elbow pain almost immediately. Rehab plan: Get on a shoulder stretching program and work on eccentric strength in his posterior RTC muscles.
2nd client: youth with intermittent lateral ankle pain
Assessment: very tight calf and with the usual suspect of weak hip stabilizers when she squats and jumps. Rehab plan: Gastric and Soleus stretching , hip strengthening, and some balance training. kT tape for some feedback along the lateral ankle too.
3rd client: adult with knee pain catching and swelling after long days of walking
Assessment: super weak posterior chain and tight hip mobility with quad dominant squatting assessment. Rehab plan: hinge work immediately with RDL, deadlift and hamstring targeting strength training with
Hip mobility stretching programming
