S.A.F.E.R. Swimmer Promise Step 2: Horizontal Body Position. 🌊
Swimming horizontally on top of the water helps swimmers move more efficiently and safely.
When a swimmer’s body stays horizontal, there is less drag pulling them back. This reduces fatigue, helps them move forward with control, and allows them to conserve energy as they learn. A vertical position makes progress harder and can quickly tire learning swimmers.
We focus on horizontal body position early because it creates balance, builds confidence, and forms the foundation for every skill that comes next.
