Fiesta fun at CJA’s Place 🎉🌺

Today we celebrated “Fiesta Friday” by getting creative and making our own Fiesta headpieces. It was a fun, hands-on activity that brought out creativity, smiles, and a whole lot of personality.

A great off-site outing this week at the local library 📚✨

This is just a glimpse of what we do at CJA’s Place—creating opportunities to be out in the community while building independence and everyday life skills.

From experiencing the library environment and using computers to assisting individuals with obtaining their own library cards, these everyday moments matter 💛

A big thank you to the amazing library staff for being so welcoming and helpful—we truly appreciate the support 🙌🏼!

Hi everyone 🤍

I wanted to share a quick update from CJA’s Place.

I currently have four spots available for adults with IDD and would love to connect with parents, caregivers, case managers, or specialists looking for a safe and supportive place for their loved one.

At CJA’s Place, my priority is creating a safe, welcoming environment where your loved one is cared for, supported, and encouraged.

Our days focus on:
✨ Building independence
✨ Reaching personal goals
✨ Developing daily life skills
✨ Enjoying on-site and off-site activities

I am open M-F 8am-3pm. I’d be happy to work with you on a schedule that best fits your loved one’s needs.

If your loved one is on the HCS Waiver Program, I can coordinate services with your provider. I also offer private pay options.

If you’re interested, please reach out to schedule a time to meet, ask questions, and see if CJA’s Place is the right fit 🤍

☕️💙 Coffee with a Cop this morning!

We had such a beautiful time connecting with our local officers and meeting others in the community at Magnolia Filling Station here in Castroville.

A special thank you to our City of Castroville police officers for your service and we’re so glad we had the chance to meet you today. 🤍

We hope have more moments like this for our besties to be out, engaged, and part of the community.

🐾 Group Dog Training Classes Are Here! 🐾

We’re excited to announce our upcoming 4-week Group Dog Training Program, in partnership with Cheese Please Dog Training and Nizmo K9 Dog Training !

This class is perfect for building a foundation of obedience skills while giving your pup the chance to practice safe, appropriate socialization.

📅 Start Date: April 25
⏰ Time: Saturdays at 10 AM
📍 Location: Castroville Canine Corner
(Please check in at the store before heading to the training area out back.)

💲 Cost: $140 for the full 4-week program

🐶 Our goal is to create a safe, positive learning environment for everyone. Dogs with severe reactivity or aggression may not be eligible for group classes, but we’re happy to recommend one-on-one training options.
