Yesterday was something special. ✨

At our Performance in Partnership clinic, Kasey Reeder and Cori Deltoro brought two worlds together — human biomechanics and horse biomechanics — and watched what happened when we got curious about both ends of the partnership.

What we found? The patterns showing up in the horses were often mirrored in their riders. When we addressed both, something beautiful started to happen. Communication opened up. Connection deepened. These partnerships began to find their flow. We looked at old scars (both physical and emotional) and found ways to bring out the best in everyone.

It was a joy and a privilege to witness.

All of my clients are so quick to take care of their horses. Carve out some time to take care of yourself too!

Have you taken time for yourself yet this year? The holidays are over, the weather is beautiful, and yet some of us are still running full speed just to stand in place. CHECK IT OUT!

A lot of you have heard me babble on about my word each year. I use it to do a gut check on decisions, to bounce off situations, and to help myself prioritize in 2025. This is the meditation that I do every year to help pick a "word for the year". So now YOU can babble to people about your word for the year! Based on the book "One Word Will Change Your Life" this meditation takes you deeply into your inner world and provides you with a word to use during the next year. In the past my words have included

Intuition - the year I took the leap and decided to started EQUUS coaching with no experience in the coaching world.

Balance - as if to accentuate the message, the next day is the ONLY day I've ever fallen off my horse... This year I was finishing my bachelor's, starting my coaching program, and trying to be a good friend, wife, etc. I think this is the year I struggled with the most.

Detachment - I have spent half of this year LITERALLY attached to IVs, subq machines, and learning to tell a lot of people "No, I'm not well enough for that". Are you noticing a theme that the universe sometimes has to beat me over the head to get their point across? Me too. Detachment has taught me to love from a distance when needed, and to internalize that good ole serenity prayer every day.

We are capped at 8 people, but if we have enough interest, we will run more of this meditation through January. Contrary to popular belief, you can change your life any day you want to, not just on January 1st...

🚨 Important Health Update: Possible EHV-1 in Our Area 🚨

HAY! Watch out for nasal discharge.

There have been reports of a potential EHV-1 outbreak nearby. To keep every horse as safe as possible, I am implementing heightened biosecurity protocols immediately:

🟤 One barn per day whenever possible
🟤 Full clothing + gear change between barns
🟤 RESCUE disinfectant on all equipment (and sometimes myself!)
🟤 Disposable boot covers worn during all treatments

Please monitor your horse closely. Symptoms of EHV-1 can include:
• Malaise or “off” behavior
• Respiratory signs (cough, nasal discharge, trouble breathing)
• Fever over 101°F
• Neurologic issues (wobbliness, weakness, difficulty standing, etc.)

If you have any concern about exposure or an outbreak at your barn, contact me immediately and we will reschedule without hesitation.

I want to be very clear: I am adamant about strict quarantine protocols because the neurologic strain of this disease is NOT nice. Most cases of EVH-1 are a runny nose and feeling crummy, then recovery. However, there are more severe cases that move into the nervous system. It’s a virus with no cure—only supportive care and crossed fingers. In my years working at an equine hospital with severe neurologic cases, I witnessed first-hand how heartbreaking these types of diseases can be, even when the best-case scenario occurs and a horse recovers.

I will ALWAYS choose an abundance of caution to protect your horses and mine. I would far rather you overreact than underreact. We can ALWAYS reschedule. I would rather your horse be healthy for me to treat next month than risk anything today.

✨ I’m BACK! ✨

After being sidelined with continued some continued serious medical issues, I’m so grateful to share that I’m officially returning to work. I feel more primed than ever to help horses feel their best through massage, red light therapy, myofascial release, and energy work.

I want to thank everyone who supported me during this time away—it means the world. Moving forward, my schedule may look a little different as I balance my health so that I can continue caring for horses for the long haul.

🩵 **Important Update from Top Line Therapeutic** 🩵

Hi friends,

I wanted to share that due to an unexpected medical concern, I’ll be stepping back from hands-on equine sessions for the next few weeks—likely around a month—as I focus on healing and recovery. This was a tough decision, but one I’m committed to, just like I always encourage my clients (both horse and human!) to rest and restore when needed.

Prince the Magical Unicorn is powering up his horn to help the healing process.

Thank you for your patience in correspondence, I have spent the last week hospitalized. Hopefully when I am able to return home I will get caught up on any missed texts or emails!

I already miss seeing your amazing horses and being part of their wellness journeys. While I won’t be able to work in person for a little while, please reach out for any recommendations or referrals!

It's not every day that I get to work with a horse who requires not just a step stool, but maybe a whole ladder! Though with Gunther here, it is every week. It's hard to believe this big boy is only 4, and we're going to make sure that any of his continued growing pains are minimal! To say that this horse is going to make an amazing therapy horse is an understatement. He is so calm, sweet, and his only vice seems to be that he forgets his head weighs 80 lbs when he comes in for a kiss 💋! Thanks for trusting me to take good care of your boy, while keeping him decked in Cardinals red. Thanks for all that you do for Gunther and horses like him!
