Is organic better? Most of the time, yes!

Organic foods are produced without toxic chemicals, but some foods come that way regardless of what’s on the label.

When it comes to salt, wild-caught fish, and mineral water, save your money and skip brands that label them organic.

What would happen if you chewed one clove daily for just 7 days?

This simple act can unlock surprising health benefits for you.

Cloves, the dried flower buds of clove trees, have been used for centuries in both culinary and medicinal practices.

Their distinctive flavor comes from eugenol, a compound that’s responsible for many of their therapeutic effects.

Studies suggest that eugenol can reduce inflammation, which benefits cognitive function and heart health.

Eugenol is also thought to have natural sedative properties, making it beneficial for sleep.

Plus, cloves are a rich source of antioxidants, which help support your immune system.

Take advantage of the many potential benefits of cloves by simply chewing on them—it will freshen your breath as an added benefit!

Eating eggs every day is great for your health!

Eggs have gotten a bad rap for causing high cholesterol and increasing the risk of heart disease—but does the science actually back this up? Not exactly… Despite being high in cholesterol, eggs contain vital vitamins and nutrients that help counteract it.

Studies show no link between eggs and heart disease in healthy people, but they have shown that if you consume whole eggs, your body is more efficient at building muscle, and you have a shorter recovery time after exercise. Plus, eggs contain vitamin D and zinc, which help support a healthy immune system!

Artificial food dyes burden your kidneys.

They require excessive filtration and re-circulation within your bloodstream.

You may think food dyes are easy to spot, but they can be found in so many grocery products, including:
-Baked goods
-Candy
-Pie filling
-Cake frosting
-Cake mix
-Fruit snacks
-Cereals
-Sodas

To avoid them, always check the ingredients when purchasing processed foods. And better yet, avoid processed foods whenever you can!

Did you know that magnesium deficiency is the most overlooked deficiency?

It’s often caused by excessive sugar and carb consumption or low vitamin D levels, and it can lead to symptoms like insomnia, restless legs, and muscle cramps.

These signs often show themselves in the early morning hours, when your body’s magnesium levels are at their lowest.

Some of the best sources of magnesium are almonds, cheese, and dark chocolate, so consuming them later in the day may help.

When do you consume your probiotics?

Probiotics are microbes, and microbes are a crucial part of our world.

They have many functions and help us in various ways, including:
-Helping make nutrients available
-Providing immune protection
-Protecting against pathogens
-Supporting detoxification
-Improving digestion
-Helping make vitamins

The acid in your stomach can kill a good portion of microbes as they pass through, so it’s important to do what you can to support their survival. This includes consuming probiotics after a meal.

If fasting, you can drink more water with your probiotics to help them survive. And be careful not to take probiotics with lemon water or apple cider vinegar water, as they are both acidic.

Feeling less motivated? It could be a sign of vitamin D deficiency.

This essential vitamin has a major influence on the region of your brain that regulates motivation and reward. When you’re deficient, it can negatively impact productivity.

Because of this, low vitamin D levels can also lead to heightened cravings for sugar and carbohydrates, as your body seeks to compensate for the lack of “feel-good” chemicals.

Since vitamin D is difficult to obtain from food, and many people have limited exposure to sunlight, deficiency is widespread. Supplementing with vitamin D3 is a practical and effective way to maintain healthy levels.

Are you getting enough collagen through your diet? Most people aren’t…

Collagen makes up 30% of the protein in your body. It supports your arteries, joints, and eyes, and prevents sagging skin and wrinkles.

After the age of 25, collagen begins to decrease. And consuming sugar, starches, and seed oils can deplete collagen even faster than aging!

Bone broth, pork rinds, and egg whites are some of the most common collagen sources in a modern diet. Start by adding them to your plate, and consider other collagen-rich options like fish skin, organ meats, and bone marrow.
