This week was National Volunteer Week, and we were happy to host some of our GMVT volunteer drivers for an appreciation social. Thanks to community support and donations, everyone enjoyed delicious refreshments while socializing. We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers and thank them for their dedication and commitment.💚🩵

Caring for our environment is part of caring for our communities 🌎💚

A healthy planet supports healthy people—impacting everything from the air we breathe, to the water we drink, to the food we eat. This Earth Day, take a moment to reflect on how deeply connected our health is to the world around us.

Start your week with a little calm 🧘‍♀️

Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact practice that blends slow movement, deep breathing, and mindfulness—helping to reduce stress while improving balance, flexibility, and overall well-being.

Whether you’re new to exercise or just need a reset, this “meditation in motion” can help quiet your mind, boost your mood, and set the tone for a more balanced week ahead.

✨ This Monday, try something new—slow down, breathe deeply, and move with intention. Your mind and body will thank you.

⚠️🦺GOMadison Road Safety Reminder:🦺⚠️
Safe Actions Save Lives! It’s National Work Zone Awareness Week, and we want to make sure everyone gets where they are going safely.👷‍♀️ 🚧👷‍♂️ Here are some Work Zone Safety Reminders as we enter into construction season in CNY:

🕓 Plan Ahead & Expect Delays: Check traffic reports, allow extra time, or choose an alternate route to avoid frustration.
📵 Avoid Distractions: Put away phones, avoid eating/drinking, and stay focused on the road, even at a complete stop.
⛙ Merge Early & Give Space: Safely move into the designated open lane as soon as you see signs, and keep extra space between your vehicle and the one in front of you.
🚨 Slow Down & "Move Over": It’s the LAW! Work zones often have reduced speed limits, and higher fines for speeding. When possible, move over for stopped emergency, construction, or maintenance vehicles
👀 Pay Attention: Be aware of everyone in the work zone: workers, motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists.

GMVT connects 60+, non-Medicaid Madison County residents to volunteer drivers for non-emergency, medical appointment transportation. 🚗🏥🚙
