Dr. Sean Davis Aims To Provide Sports Medicine at Cedar Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Clinic

Dr. Randy Delcore, medical director of Cedar Orthopaedic Surgery Specialty Clinic and Surgery Center, looks forward to welcoming a new partner to his practice. Dr. Sean Davis, who specializes in Sports Medicine, will be joining the practice this month.

Dr. Davis is ecstatic to be returning to Southern Utah to join Dr. Delcore. Originally from a small town in northern Nevada, Dr. Davis knew he wanted to pursue a career in medicine from a young age. He graduated as co-valedictorian from high school before attending and graduating magna cm laude from Southern Utah University in 2011 with a major in Exercise Science and Kinesiology as well as double minors in Chemistry and Biology.

Following his undergraduate degree, Dr. Davis began attending the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno in 2012 where he graduated among the top in his class in 2016. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine in 2021 before completing an additional year sub-specializing in sports medicine at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center this year.

During his time at SUU, Dr. Davis fell in love with the scenic landscape, active lifestyle and, most of all, the passionate community that exists in Southern Utah. He always thought it would be a great place to raise a family, so he and his wife Hillary are so excited to be bringing their young family to Cedar City.

Dr. Davis is currently scheduling to see patients beginning Aug. 22.

Sometimes you just have to laugh!

The linked video may seem rather the over-the-top to you, but it’s a satirical depiction of how crazy hospitals can be on so many levels!

But here’s the real clincher … since when would a restaurant server inquire about how you would be paying for your meal while the establishment deliberately leaves the prices off the menu? Yep, when you get checked into a hospital for a procedure, they waste no time in making sure you have insurance, but if you were to ask in advance how much your share of the care may cost, the billing department can’t even offer you an estimate.

We need straight answers regarding what procedures will cost us.

Price Transparency in healthcare is financial protection.

If you can get a good faith estimate on your mortgage cost, you should be able to get one for any medical procedure you're about to undergo. That way you are prepared to pay for it.

Because of bilateral knee arthritis Jacky was experiencing great difficulty working at his job as a casino table games manager, which required a lot of time on his feet. Yes, there is a government-run healthcare payment system that benefits seniors and low-income people in the form of Medicare and Medicaid. However, healthcare coverage that not only “covers” an entire nation of people, but in fact forces them to participate, becomes sluggish and low-quality.
